Solid west coast ski?

Looking for some advice on a suitable ski for my ski style.

Age: 15

Height: 5'9

Weight: 130

I ski at Mt. Hood and Mt. Bachelor in Oregon. I'm looking for a good all

mountain ski since we get a fair amount of freshies. 60% powder(and

groomers on days without pow)/40% park

In the park usually shredding 50% rails-jibs/and 50% jumps.

I've got a fairly wide budget. Looking for a good all mountain twin though.

Thanks for any help

They perform well in the park? I'd actually say id be on hardpack 50% and powder 50%. Hardpack being groomers and park. Would they still be a good choice?

I've heard good things about them, but if you want something a little easier to handle, maybe a chronic cryptonite would be better for you

i take mine in the park. sure they're heavier and bigger than my park skis, but they're still fun.

i wouldn't recommend them as a one ski quiver if you're skiing a lot of park, but if you're really just cruising all over the place and not learning anything too technical in the park they should be fine. but then again, if you are learning super crazy shit in the park, or plan to, then i would say get something skinnier.

overall they're great. as one of my two pairs of skis i couldn't be happier, but keep in mind they're not going to be as nimble...

Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely look into them. I kinda wanna go tech but at the same time, on a day with freshies i will probably only take a couple laps after the pow is wrecked. But on a day without pow il spend my whole say jibbing. I guess its hard to find a ski that fits that happy medium perfectly

Ive heard the 2012s ski like shit. And on the other hand ive heard they ski like dreams. They were originally my pick for 2010-2011 but after the controversy it made me think twice. Anyone got any input about the 2012

Your going to be wanting to look in the mid fat ranges.. so 95-105?

Armada ARV. Pretty sure its a 95 waist, and when I worked at Hillcrest in Gresham, I'm pretty sure I sold more of these than any others, due to its all mountain capabilities.

Liberty Hazmat. Bamboo core! 3 year warranty, hovers around 94 waist.

k2 Kung Fujas 105 at the waist for 2011, 2010 is 95 at the waist. 2011 are rockered more than the 10's, but both have it.

Rossignol S3: 98 at the waist (pretty sweat deal here: http://www.evogear.com/skis/rossignol-s3-koopman-2010.aspx#Description)

4Frnt VCT Turbo 104 Waist. On the fatter end of things, a bit more powder oriented, but you can still shred around on em.

Nordica Zero 105 Waist Again fatter, but completely symmetrical, thus great in the park.

I'd go with k2 Kung Fujas or the Rossis. I ride my LTE's for park, and dont plan on ever using the Zeros in it really. See you at hood!

what about line blend? good in pow and on hard pack, good for jumps, not sure how great they are at rails being 100mm under foot, but eh lizzies are 110mm and heard they destroy rails.

Yeah, Line Blends should definitely be on that list. 100 waist and rockered this year.

Also forgot to mention Salomon Shoguns. 101 waist, pretty sick.

haven't skied all these, but from what i know and have seen

K2 fujas

line blend

on3p j-mo

nordica zero?

salomon shogun, which i have skied and is sweet

line blends, bacons, chronic kryptonite (or any chronic), volkl bridge, kung fujas, rossi s5 or s7 even... all suitable just depends on your flex, width and camber/rocker preference

Buy local, get ON3P. If you want to pick up Jeronimo's from our factory in Portland, I'll give you and whoever else you bring a factory tour to see how they're made.

def on3ps dude, or possibly lib-tech, u shud check their skis out, or something made by moment...possibly bibbys?

If you can find this year kung fujas go for it dude. I bring mine in utah for my ski trip and i don't regret it. They are killer ski, good in pow and good park. Plus they hold weel on the groomers... what else you need? The rossis S3 are good too, same as next year Sfb's. Hard decision you got there.

Bumpy for awesome on3ps or a really good deal on some 2012s, Can almost get them for nothing, if it wasnt for one of my friends with a preorder on 2012s already id buy jmos in an instant
