I have a cracked edge (on my fujitives), and i really don't want to rip out the edge. so does any one know if soldering (sp) would help prolong the life of my edges, or is it a horrible idea?

Don't kill me for making this thread, i search bared it, and found alot, but nothing on if this idea would work. thanks.

I've heard people say that even on the lowest voltage you can still melt your bases through to the core really easily. I would not reccomend it. If anything you should grind it, epoxy it and start looking for new skis when all the sales go up.

^what fi i used a blow torch, instead of a solder gun... in other words use the method used to solde in plumbing... seems like it would be fine cus you pretty much blow torch the bases when p texing, but idk

You will still melt the base. You can melt your base with a block heater.

Epoxy it and file it down.

Just leave it. I've had about 10 on my Silencers for months and they're nothing but cracks - no edge lifting up or ripping out.

yea just leave um. edge cracks happen, and dont do shit if you take care of your skis. the best way to prevent pull-out is to keep your edges detuned and deburred.

if you really wanna preseve um, take a file, and notch it out, so theres no straight corners hanging out to catch (so the crack looks like a little valley in your edge), and if they start to seperate, get some epoxy and clamp um
