okay sooo my cam records in MOD format and i need to get this format to work with final cut express 4 and i looked it up but i couldnt find anything that ended up working... if someone has an idea that would b great. if i have 2 buy software i dont really care i just want this to work

you need to convert it to avi or something else that is compatible. try this...

he is using final cut so he is mac and therefore should not convert to avi

Mpeg StreamClip is the best video converter out there and its free

Fuck MOD files. Honestly they're the biggest pain in the fucking ass ever.

Try and make StreamClip work - thats what I used to convert them when I was forced to work with them. They're a bitch and a half, and I had to do some wierd process to them (not your normal exporting) to get them to play in Premiere. I'm on a PC, so I probably had it harder than you will.

Basically just try and get StreamClip.
