Soften up

First day on surface givers they feel super stiff especially in the nose. Do they tend to soften up a lot or stay stiff

umm i have surface royals, very similar to the givers. idk about you but the tails of my skis are hella soft and i weigh nothing like 120, noses are stiffer then tail, over time will break in a bit, if you grow taller, a smaller ski is easier to flex, mabye there to big?

5’5 riding 173 I got a friend with royals so I got givers and they’re way too stiff in the nose for me but tails are super soft

yeah im 5foot 5 mabye 6 riding size 162 so mabye a little big, also if not center mounted noses could be longer so with a stiff nose, long skis, and non center mount noses would feel very stiff

Imo ur skis are too small lol

Where did you have them mounted? Skis do tend to "break in" over time. I've found my give'rs to be a bit stiffer than how I perceived them to be. Not sure if that's do to my weight to height ratio (5'6" 140) riding 174. Or boots not totally fitting correctly (bone spurs) so not being able to get over toes to flex the ski and butter. They def don't feel nearly as soft as a blend, wet, or wide. V's have way more rocker compared to surface which helps.

I've enjoyed my give'rs as they can rip some all mountain and aren't just noodles when ripping down the slopes. More similar to the reck 102.

Mounted -1cm back from true center I’m coming from icelantics so definitely super weird to be riding this ski

uh oh cause I'm probably gonna grow a lot more and have to ride them next year, rn I'm like 2 inches taller then them. and they mostly rocker. do yall think that's bad, like if i grow a few inches next year and am 5foot 7 or 5 foot 8 will 162 ski with lots of rocker be too small

If I was 5’6 I’d immediately move to 176 but I just prefer a longer ski

they're 100mm waist they're not gonna be bending like blends, let them break in.

Blends are 100mm waist. the noses on the royale and giver are stiff, but the tail on the royale is pretty dang soft. I had the owner at my local shop try to tell me that fatypus skis were the softest skis i could get, i showed him my royales that were 1/3 the price with better graphics, he was taken aback and started crying

false, my skis hae a very soft tail and a semi stiff nose, i can lip on blind 2 so i know what im talking about "all skis " bro please man just think what all skis means just please bro , there are so many brands out there.

Every ski I’ve ridden has had a softer tail than nose

Yes because its infinitely easier to bend the tail than the nose smh, its literally pointless to make the tails softer.
