Soften up a ski

Just got some surface royales there pretty stiff out the box, how can I work them in and soften them up quick and get buttery without having to ski them for a few weeks

Put weights on them and set em up between two chairs or something. The more you can bend it and leave it like that the softer the skis will get.

Yes it changes the shape a tad bit lol. Depends on what the ski is. Icelantics for example are notorious for losing their shape. I tried it on those and it def made a difference

Probably not going to do it since don't want to risk messing anything up, how viable is just hand flexing the ski or rocking back and forth a carpet for flexing them out?

I mean maybe it’ll do a little bit but the only way you’re gonna notice changes is to ski the ski. I’ve actually taken edge out of my nose area on skis to make em easier to press/butter. Works quite well.

There was that Finnish kid too who put his Chronics between some boards and put weights on them to give them rocker lol

Someone link the old ass thread of someone parking their truck on their skis to rocker them

Did it work

Yes, but every time I land or jump the top sheet flakes and a little water dribbles out of the ski. I also tapped the holes shut cause snow kept coming in but it's much flexier. Downside is that the water inside the ski froze and now it weighs like 1000gs heavier, think I was supposed to let them dry first

Nice bro enjoy they should be extra durable now

Dig a hole in the ground, click into your bindings and start bouncing in the hole to flex the ski at the tips and tails.
