i am asking because i found a really good deal on them. Also does anyone know how rossignol boot sizes compare to salomon

Rossignol boots are really narrow in the foot and Salomon are much wider...As for the soft boot, if you do any amount of freeriding/bump skiing/ jumping etc. DONT GET THEM. THey are designed for begining and intermediate weekenders.

what are you talking about? i forget who, but one of the big mountain skiers switched over to the soft and likes them alot. and me, im going into my 16th season on skis, raced for a few years, and have been freeriding the rest of the time. so im a strong skier, and i love them. they jsut take a few days to get used to them, you have to have good balance, otherwise you'll eat shit all the time. but once you get the balance, theyre great boots and i would say that you should buy them

whoever that pro was, he modified them. he put a couple of rivets and an extra buckle (or powerstrap, not sure) on them.
