Less then 24 hours away until this contest starts up. Who do you have winning it all? David wise for me is going to take the gold easily.
 
ya, but i feel torin doesnt even really count as discretionary, because he would have qualified easily through comps if he didnt smash his shit and collapse his lung. But I'm still pulling for torin.

p.s. Remember when everyone was pulling for tanner at these games? LoL
 
Yeah even as a discretionary he's still one of the favorites. It's crazy how there have really been no upsets though.
 
yeah, i think it would be sick as fuck for just some random dude from Latvia or some shit to just completely take gold.

also, when skiing halfpipe was announced I thought there would be triples in the pipe by now.
 
if both discretionary spots take gold (aka torn wins) i wonder if that will change how they pick the spots next time around
 
Mike riddle, Justin Dorey, and Noah bowman. I don't care what order I just want to see a canadian sweep.
 
It's going to come down to who can best ski a shitty pipe. Similar to how snowboarding was.

So I'd say the older athletes like Riddle and Dorey will have the advantage for that.
 
The reviews from NS (Ethan stone) and Freeskier (Nate Abbott) both allude to the pipe being in better condition than it was for SNB. Ly Currier even said it was the best pipe he's ridden... I'm sure it will be good enough come tomorrow. Their pipe crew seems dedicated at least.
 
Riddle is dropping last in qualifiers so I'm calling g it now. He'll get the top spot in qualifiers and be in the best position going into finals and win it.
 
Sorry for double post, but does anyone know what time pipe should air if I am going to watch it prime time in the US on nbc.

I can only find that Olympics are on at 7, can't figure out what specific time half pipe is.
 
If the pipe is shitty then it will be down between Wise, TYW and Rolland I guess. But if the pipe is good we could see someone else sneaking in there like Lyman, Riddle, Dorey or Krief. Those throw down hard.
 
In the perfect pipe I could see it. I don't see it happening in Sochi though. Who knows, Torin posted a picture and he was absolutely boosting so I could be wrong/
 
I just hope Justin Dorey doesn't murder himself on the deck a bunch of times again... Pretty pumped to see it all go down, I don't know what it is but I really enjoy watching pipe.
 
Is this on live on nbc in the early hrs of tomorrow morning (US)?? Need to get the DVR fired up!

NOah Bowman, on the podium, he's got one of the best styles in the pipe with torin, plus his switch doubles are $$$
