Sochi 2014 Predictions?

I'm predicting that a severe lack of snow along with warm temperatures

and rain will cause multiple events to be cancelled. Slopestyle and

Border/Skier cross will not even make it to finals with how badly the

Russians seem to be doing over there. Superpipe finals will probably

suck because the pipe will be complete slush and no one will be able to put down a good run but Wise will still win.

Terrorist threats combined with appalling athlete lodging and course or

venue conditions will have many athletes in a state where they will not be able to perform well in competitions and some might not even be willing to compete in some events because of how sketchy it will be. This will cause Putin to

blame shit on every other country. Overall I think Sochi 2014 will be

the most worsts winter Olympics in the history of the winter games.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd love it if the slope and pipe courses have slushy spring riding conditions. We know most of the guys riding will be throwing big rotations deep. But if the course does turn out to be shit and they have to adapt to it, and throw out the routines that they've practiced time and time again over the past year? That would really mix up the game and bring out the best of the best.

Damn, a bit of a correction... We know that most of the guys competing can throw big rotations deep. Who knows though, if the course is up to par then yeah, they'll likely be throwing big rotations deep.

Wise and goepper will win. And wise will probably become a highlight of the Olympics and eheath will bitch about how torin deserved it more

This.

I'd love to see this where they don't have perfect snow/conditions and can't use their stock run. As you said, the best skiers will come out on top who are not only able to adapt and still throw down a sick run, but will probably still have lots of fun and not complain about the snow.

It's hard for me to imagine sochi's weather being bad...the only footage I have ever seen of that place was Pep's segment from Hit List which was one of the deepest pow segs I've watched.
