Soccer, like all sports, is noticeably more exciting to watch when you understand the game than if you don't. Generally to understand the game you'll have had to play a fair amount, and if you do you'll no doubt enjoy watching it.

I find baseball to be the most boring sport ever largely because I don't understand the smaller details/nuances. However, if I were to learn to appreciate things like what pitch is most likely coming, when to bunt, etc. I'm sure I would like watching it more.

How can you think soccer is boring when it brought you Di Canio??

totally different from skiing, and I like it that way.

soccer: competitive, team player, rough, hard/physical exerting.

skiing: fun, group/crew, gets you stoked, and it's all about having a good time.

not the same thing..

Soccer is really big here in Sweden and I got to say it sucks. Everybody is watching it all the time and it´s allways on the sportchannels. I don´t really see the point of it all and as OP said... Just about nothing happens in a game.
 
i don`t think you can take away the name ''football'' from any american. i think that they don't give a fuck about how it's called.

what i mean to say is all the people in africa play soccer because its the most basic sport out there.
 
people used to ski without bindings, saga outwear, poles and snow...
