Soccer, like all sports, is noticeably more exciting to watch when you understand the game than if you don't. Generally to understand the game you'll have had to play a fair amount, and if you do you'll no doubt enjoy watching it.
I find baseball to be the most boring sport ever largely because I don't understand the smaller details/nuances. However, if I were to learn to appreciate things like what pitch is most likely coming, when to bunt, etc. I'm sure I would like watching it more.
How can you think soccer is boring when it brought you Di Canio??
best sport in the world! The world game, the beautiful game!! The game that is the common language that unites the world no matter their race, nationality, culture and religious background! A gigantic and extroardinary game that dwarfs any other sport in the world, a massive almost unquantifiable business sport. Most watched sport in the world. Each country has it's own unique football culture. It is a science and an art, and has the most passionate fans of any sport.
Soccer is really big here in Sweden and I got to say it sucks. Everybody is watching it all the time and it´s allways on the sportchannels. I don´t really see the point of it all and as OP said... Just about nothing happens in a game.
