Soccer players of NS, cleat insoles

Does anybody use aftermarket insoles in their cleats? I have nike mercurial vapors and the insoles are like paper, no support at all. I might bring my cleats to an REI or something and try some superfeet in there when I have time.

I never bothered. I had several pairs of Vapors. Figured for the 90 minutes of game I wasn't really that focused on my foot comfort anyways.

Superfeet Carbon is their new (been out about two years) insole specifically for soccer cleats. Super light

3rd for superfeet carbon, super low volume really light. Its going to be a relatively low arch height though so if you have a high arch i'd go with something else.

Yeah I think I might. Also the skinniest part of the insole is way skinnier than a superfeet insole and to trim to fit, you'd cut off whatever arch support there was anyway. I'm going to go to a running store or something and see what they have to say.

Footbeds in boots for pros is pretty common. The guys at Sidas UK did them all for the Man city players a couple of seasons ago. A full custom will always be the best option but also the most expensive.

The superfeet carbon are a good call as they are pretty minimal. They are not an arch support though, instead they stabilize the rear foot which in turn helps stabilize the rest of the foot. Like any pre-made insole they wont work for everyone but in general they will be a lot better then the stock flat insole. Don't go modifying the Carbon cup on the base though as that is what gives the support, without that your essentially just using the same as what you already have.
