SOCCER: adizero's or the new vapors?

i got the vapor 5s last year for like 90 bucks off this sketchy website. best cleat's i've ever had by far. i personally hate the adizeros. sure theyre the lightest cleat in the market, but that's because all the materials are ridiculously thin. the vapors are just a much better made cleat. the adizeros serve their purpose, but a lot was sacrificed in order to make them as light as they are.

Vapors are dope, but I like the new T90's better, and I have worn both. The vapors are mad light, but the 90's just feel better all around, and feel like they'll last longer. They're more comfy for me, and the weight difference isn't a deciding factor

Mine were badly ripped after a single season, I love the soft leather but the durability was sketch. It may have been bad luck though, most of my pals have been fine with them.
The T90's look like clogs, do not want. They really got them right with the original Laser but they've been going downhill ever since.

For some reason these shoes remind me of zebra full tilts

1. your name makes your point invalid.

2. you have more posts than karma, point invalid.

3. pure ignorance, point is still invalid.

deff go superfly unless u wanna wear tissue paper. the superflies actually have some support and hold well. iffffff they fall appart too just send em back like i did and get new ones...too bad i grew out of mine. u need the safari in 8.5? nike is WAYYYY better. and ronaldos the man. just my 2 cents :)

imo just go with the shoe that fits best. if possible try to walk around in a store as long as you can with a few different brands/models.

i am from germany/austria and have played soccer for 16 years or so, 10 years pretty often and imo, expensive shoes dont make that much of a difference.

but watch the cleats itself. you might wanna get pretty long deep ones so you have grip on wet grass. if you also have games on artificial surfaces, then you might need two pairs.

I have played football for 10 years now.

In that time i've had about 20 pairs of cleats because when i was 8-15 my feet grew very fast. I've had 2 pairs of vapors, and now the adizeros, and i maybe like the adizeros more because they fit my foot perfectly, and when playing I "feel" the ball better. But I still recommend that you try them both on and just buy the pair that fits better. Or buy the leather predator powerswerves, they are awesome and do not cost that much anymore

I know dude. i want those again so bad, but i destroyed them and now they dont sell them anymore. im gonna get the leather f50 addizeros now though. unless anyone can find me some original vapors? :)

ok take this from me, someone who has gone through and tried every possible cleat there is to try, adidas & nike. vapor elites, ctr elites, t90 elites, tiempo elites, adipowers, adizeros, adipure sl's & more.

As a center mid, both of those cleats are bad for the position, but if you had to choose, get Vapors. Don't be a cheap boy & get the mercurials, get the superfly's.. The extra money is worth it. composed of completely different materials.

Vapors:

Pros:

- Light

- Keep a good shape, and really good in rain

- solid stud spacing, extremely good traction

- narrow, so a really snug fit. Even if you have a wide foot, they well mold to your feet & they are good for the fact of how they hold to your feet.

Cons:

- thing material. As a center mid prepare to have your foot ruined in these cleats

- not the most comfortable cleats for a lot of running, as your feet will end up hurting

- poor transition into the cleats. If you're a person like me, who has 3 or 2 pairs of cleats they use, the only problem with these is that once your foot is comfortable with a different cleat, then once you put these on your feet hurt.

Adizeros:

Pros:

- Extremely lightweight

- Solid strike zone

- Really good traction

Cons:

- Extremely terrible shape. The issue is that theyre really loose by your toes, as the shape is extremely off.

- They crease, a lot, and because of the poor material, they look pretty ugly

- They rip in the toe area. Playing academy soccer i've seen 4 kids on my team get their adizeros ripped, because theyre poorly made

Final verdict:

Get CTR elites. Most comfortable cleats i've worn. Extremely easy on the foot, and transitioning from cleat to cleat is not a problem. No foot pains at all. Extremely well made, and the leather is soft, perfect for a center midfielder. The touch is them feels great. Theyre slighter thicker than vapors and adizeros, but that doesnt negate the foot to ball feeling they have, & getting stepped on in these is not a problem. The only issue ive had with these is that theyre not the best in the rain.

I think Puma makes the best cleats right now. I've heard horror stories of ripped Adidas' and the sole falling off of Nike's whole line. I have the PWR-C 1.10's (first picture) and I absolutely adore them.

these bad boys are soooo nice. super comfortable. i've had a pair since for 3 or 4 years now. used them for 3 full seasons. havent played a ton since then, but they're super comfortable, light, and durable.

but it really comes down to what fits your foot the best to be honest.

sorry for the double post, but I'd like to include that I play center mid too, and I especially love these because they have great grip on both sides of the foot, for outside of the foot passing, and regular shooting. I've never felt like the grip is sacrificed through wet&muddy conditions, also. And they fit much better then when I tried on my friends t90's and my other friends Vapors's.

IMO these cleats are it.

i just got a pair of nike tiempo legend 4's. They are really light this year (9.6 oz. or something?), and they are really comfortable witht the kangaroo leather. I don't understand why people like adizeros. I feel like they are so light that you wouldn't be able to hit a ball as firmly or receive it with a good touch. If you are only considering these two, i would say go with the vapors, but I think you should definitely look at the new tiempos or even ctr360's.

Agreed I think those are so gay. A kid on my team got em and we made fun of him so badly that he wouldn't wear them.

-Sorry for the dub post.

to be honest man I would go and try and find an unused pair from a few years back. ADIDAS always just because of product and will hold together. Not gonna like all the new boots coming out these past few years are shit. This new synthetic material may be light but it tears, and does not last. For both ADIDAS and NIKE. If you want to look like a boss get some old copas or predators. They will last you forever and they look badass.

I would recommend ctr360's to anyone! By far the most comfortable cleat I've ever played in. You could easily wear them in a game straight out of the box

you could also check out the leather version of the adizeros. i have a pair, and the weight difference between the synthetic and the leather versions is only like .2 ounces. they also feel a lot better than the synthetic cleats imo.

adidas always have great quality i've been playing soccer 10 years and had both nike and adidas

this season past i had adidas and played my best season so far I feel and it was just because the boots were so much more comfortable than nikes. just my opinion though go to a store and try both on

predators are the shit! i used predators for probably 6 years straight. used adizeros this past year and loved them too. i prefer adidas over nike anyday. every nike cleat i've worn are so uncomfortable

where could I buy the older T90's, besides ebay, does anyone know?

Not these ones:

On ebay they all sell for $160

Just bought myself these after being a loyal mercurial player for the past 4 years. I absolutely love them. I highly recommend these, but make sure you get the leather ones.

I've been wearing vaps since i started playing, always loved them. I've had just about every pair made. Last season i switched to the adizeros just to try things out. I play left mid and forward, with the adizeros the touch just wasnt the same and when crossing the ball i didnt feel as good of contact as i did in a pairs of Vapors. I just bought the Vapor VI superflys, and i absolutely love them. Recommended to anyone if you're willing to pitch the extra cash!
