A bit later in the day Jon McMurray decided that Tanner's 450 to rail and 270 off the kink rail was cool but he needed to try something else. After warming up to figure out the correct speed he stomped a back flip to the kink rail on his first attempt. Although this trick had been done before last year, this backflip to kink rail was definitely the coolest inverted trick to rail ever.

flipping into rail would be easier then spinnin... th emomentum wont throw you off rail and when you spin, your leg are close together, so you have to think about getting them apart before hitting the rail.

I read in some magazine that when paul cotter did that backflip to rail he was one of the last ones at the opening night keg party. So that's pretty insane doing that when he probabally still had a buzz goin.
