I like alot of Skrillex' stuff but I find the strange and intense screaming/shouting that pops up sometimes a bit out of place...
 
i needs a haircut...aha, but seriously skrillex( in my opinion) sucks, and more or less so does alot of american dubstep, im sure you will pick it up in the next few years but for now the UK will dominate Dubstep..
 
I'm from America but this is truth, I think because there is a much larger dance music scene in UK and it originated there. And that America sucks at everything now.
 
i enjoyed that. but as many have said, a lot of his stuff is hit or miss for me. i could say that about all dubstep artists though.
 
no i dont like skrillex. in fact, i despise him! when i listen to his music i feel embarrassed that this is his genuine interpretation of dubstep. it makes me want to disassociate myself with the genre completely.

datsik doesnt "make his music" live, he just djs and triggers live manipulated midi effects on top of his song. Some of the stuff that bassnectar drops though is 100% live, since hes constantly editing and creating songs in ableton. But yea skrillex is a horrible dj, have of the stuff he plays is just premixed. I saw him drop a song when he wasnt even touching the mixer...
 
don't like skrillex. i enjoy one song of his, "with you friends"

and it happens to be a non-dubstep song
 
I don't know why people consider him to be a dubstep artist. It really just sounds like way over manipulated sounds that come from aliens tripping balls on acid. When I think of dubstep I think of something like the Widdler
 
To everyone in this thread:1. Skrillex isn't a DJ2. Less than 25% of his music is Dubstep3. He does an amazing live show. He interacts with the crowd a lot. Seen him once, and I'm going again.4. fuck yourself with a cactus
 
he has a kewl logo, i'll give him that. i like the song long ride home because it doesn't have gross computer screeches in it, and i like the first 39 seconds of scary monsters and nice sprites. girls in the junior high in my town like skrillex.....

alright, here is some actual dubstep...listen to this in 720p, but don't bother unless you have a good sub that can represent all frequencies at least down to 35hz...it might not have chainsaws and electro farts, but this is what real sub bass sounds like

 
okay cool man "fuck mid range wobble" i see you. but lots of us dont like that. i enjoy it sometimes but its got such a different kinda mood and shit to it and thats not what were all looking for
 
I actually like it a lot. Very mellow, good mood, and well composed. It's like a cross breed between dubstep and industrial trance.

A lot of people don't like that static style of music, but i absolutely love it.

not to mention you kids listening to dubstep should listen to it's origin drum n bass which is a million times better and actually involves more than just a asshole and synthesizer
