So..whos going to Univeristy of Utah?

Mechanical Engineering is pretty rough. It's a lot of work and 5 days a week classes. Hopefully it will be worth it though.

i just got accepted last night, meteorology/ snow sciences as a transfer student, im so stoked. I met with one of the professors 2 weeks ago too and he said all his classes end before 1 so kids can hit powder the rest of the day. Classes go out to the mountains for trips and there were plenty of parties on the saturday night i was there.

whats the guy to girl ratio though, (it seemed 50 50 when i was there but dunno)

I couldn't really tell but how are the girls in Utah? I heard theres alot of dancers and shit but what do you guys think?

i am currently attending the fine institute of The University of Utah
it is pretty fun, try to set your classes up so you have like 15-18 hrs in the fall when you wont be doing a whole lot of skiing and then for spring semester you can take like 12 hrs and on tuesday and thursday. then you can take monday wens and friday off and go shred. or take a night class at like 6 on those days if you dont want like 4 classes on tues and thurs. but if you really wanna have an easy spring semester.... ask pussyfooter what his schedule is hahah.

chapel glen is probably the best dorms to be in. sage has a lot of older people that have friends already and are there to learn not party. Gateway although close to food is lame cause of single gender floors, so unless you like to bro out 24/7 i wouldn't be there.

get a longboard

make friends with people that have cars

buy alta/pc for passes

deff dude... you ever hit up jiminy peak... like 4 people i ride with daily are going there too. you should come up and rip with us sometime

i dont know anything about on campus, but i know the shuttles run up and down bcc and lcc everyday, and dont stop going up and down the canyon.

non come to the school but you can take trax and the ski bus from 7200 s i do it quite a bit from the dorms and its mad easy.

the U is sick. if you an incomnign freshman go to gateway heights dorms.

I am getting a house next year. Im a Graphic Design major. I ski at Alta primarily and park shitty sometimes.

^ or chapel hill, chapel is coed where as gateway is homo but close to food so i liked it. no homo

I think well be alright people will be loud. Except I hear the beer is like 3% only or something like that so people might not be as rowdy all the time shouting pointless things that they know that no one will hear thats on the field.

yeah 7/11, grocerie stores, etc. wont have real beer, but state liquor stores will..so when you go to buy your liquor you can pick up a few 30s while your at it..i know of one on fort union blvd, but im sure theres plenty.

Sounds good bro. Ey are you joining a frat or anything? Im not sure if Im going to or not. I mean I hate the typical asshole sterotype they get but Im not gonna judge anything till I see it for myself. But if there is a skiing frat I might hit that up but if not I dont know.

eh probably not..both my brothers were in frats and didnt come away with anything from it except worthless tatoos and a lot of drunken nights. i mean i do lots of stupid shit, but im not gunna try to drunk a bath tub full of water.

hahahaha yeah that would suck to wake up in a bathub full of water. ill be partying no matter what so its all good.

yeah man..i personally dont think a frat is worth it..im convinced i could come away with a good group of friends and plenty of partying without joining a frat.

its easy either way.

i cant imagine they raise their standards for in state students, but i would imagine it would be the other way around.

i guess all have their own pros and cons..among freshman, chapel glen seems to be the most popular..thats were alek and I will be staying.

it's way easy i'm only a junior but they gave us these books that show what gpa and act score you need to get in it's like a 2.7 with a 23 act will get you in no problem and an essay isn't required
