Raise your hands.

Whos going?

Where dorm do you plan on staying in?

What are you going to major in?

anybody need a roomate?:)

i think im gonna be going there, i gotta apply for housing. prolly gateway or sage point. Im goin for mechanical engineering

i might im not sure yet. most likely if i go it will be in a few semesters. they sent me a letter yesterday though and it had this dope ass magic piece of metal in it. anyone else get that?

Most likely. Pre-Physical Therapy most likely, and a WHOLE lot of skiing.

Who's going to that orientation thing this weekend? I'm flyin out there for that on friday.

it was for some major to do with metals, and you could bend it into any shape and just put it near anything hot and it would snap back into shape (straight stick) instantly.

shit. If I knew it came with a complimentary butt rape I would have gone there over Westminster any day... especially from you Scott. If thats offered to all people going to Utah for school, I'll give you a call.

I might Ive narowed it down to Utah and boulder but the only thing I am worried about is the party scene in Utah. I mean My life isnt partying but I dont wanna not party throughout college.

^ dont worry salt lake city isn't that bad it might take you a while to find some hard ass party animals though

but you'll meet a shitload of skiers and so on so you'll be fine

yeh it may suck for the fall but once winter rolls around youll meet plenty of people. it really isnt a big deal you can party anywhere really. also boulder is pretty far from skiing and u may party to much

sage point is kinda weak. if you can get in gateway right between the bus stop and the heritage center that is a pretty bomb location. I'm in sage point 813 or 814 or something and it is pretty far away from everything.

I'll be goin here next year too most likely, but in a house.

This has been my first semester in SLC and Ive been to a good amount of pretty fun parties. Both Westminster and the U. Given the majority of the parties I have been to I only knew about becaue of my "girlfriendish" type of person, without her maybe I'd be more bored. But from my experience, its a fun fucking town to live in.

a much better ski season is much better than a few less parties in my opinion...you will always meet people who want to party, just co has a larger population of heavy partiers, you'l still find plenty of parties tho

i am so juiced right now i am gonna visit tomorrow through sunday, hopefully that makes me committ to U of U it looks amazing

yea considering boulder is 3 hours from skiing it'd be way easier to not want to wake up in the morning, whereas in utah no matter how hung over you are a 30 minute drive is pretty reasonable. and as long as you meet enough people you'll be able to party plenty. which you will through ns, as gay as it is and however much I like to avoid it ns is basically a facebook for skiiers.

been going to the U for a while. Lived in chapel glen 2 years ago, mad fun but really hard to get work done. if you plan on doing well in school id suggest sage point. and there are parties you just have to find them, the best parties ive been to have been in the cottonwood heights area.

Sounds good, Im going up to Utah Tomorrow for the orientation thing so Ill definately get a better feel for it once I actually see the place but the way you guys describe it doesnt sound bad at all so thanks for pretty much convincing me to go to the U.

O and is anyone in the film program at UofU by and chance? cause I think thats what Im gonna be studying.

Just down the road. Those guys are ragers.

Currently attending. I suggest chapel glen for dorms, unless you don't like being around alot of people all the time, drinking very often, or walking 100 yards vs 10 yards for our dining hall.

I suggest also anyone who is coming out here to pick up long boarding or biking before you come out, its clutch when going to class.

The key to having fun here is meeting as many people as possible. There are always parties going on you just have to know the right people to meet etc.

O I was also wondering, is it impossible to find nugs around slc or is it kinda like you just need to know the right people kinda thing?

mmm sugarhouse skatepark, its ok. slc has some pretty good street to skate. PC's skate park is redic though, all concrete sick bowl. but the actual street in pc sucks a dick.

Ive decided to go there and cant wait!! Is anyone part of the MUSS by any chance I dont know if I should sign up or not.

Its official. After my visit this weekend I'm ending up there for the next 4 years. You guys weren't joking, there is a shitload of urban spots in SLC area.

Oh and by the way I am jealous of people that live in Chapel Glen. And that Dining Hall is boss-ass. That cereal dispenser was the sickest thing I have ever seen and when I heard that was open 24 hours a day, that made it for me.

yeah I got in in november, but I made my decision this past weekend when I visited...soooooo sick and so much sicker than stanford haha.

those of you who got accepted, what type of SAT/ACT scores did you have, and what was your GPA? if you don't mind me asking...

3.21 cumulative GPA and 1800 on the SAT. But with that said I go to the #1 public school in California so they give me a little slack on the GPA thing. But you can check out collegeboard.com to see the stats on the avg gpa and stuff like that.
