so who are all the kool kats here?

yo b or who eva u are shut up man you don't know wat your talking about, racing is gay unless its super g or down hill end of story. so once again im not dissing racing as such im dissing the gay disiplines of slalom and and gs racing. so plez keep quiet on things you have no idea about

'I been pimpin since been pimpin since been pimpin.

man racers arent idiots. my best friend is a racer at burke. i just dont like the fact that ski hills in my area put more money into them and less into freestyle skiing with tables hit and decent rails.

ya i race with the school, but after 3 years of it, i am yet to actually do a run, all the others were accidentally 'missed'. plus its great cause my coach/ teacher is somewhat retarded so i ened up paying 0 $ last year.

east coast acadamys like burke and sugar loaf are the ones that give racers a bad name cuz they cant freeski for shiiit, (or so ive found from camps at hood)

yeah but speed events are where its at. downhill is crazy, id love to see some of these shit talkers run the doug smith and live.

Live every day, like today is your last.

SEASON 04 --> Call me the bus driver, cuz im takin you to school!

i raced for my mountain for a few years, then got tired of the competitiveness, so i quit. but i wanted to race for my school team, but there wasnt enough interest shown from the different CEGEPs around that we wouldve raced against, so that isnt gonna happen this year.

as for slalom and gs being gay? its the most technical aspect of racing, and is really fun to do, it gets you into a good rythm for skiing. and gs is great cause its technical and fast. its by far my faviorate part of racing. i cant really speak for super g or downhill, but im sure they kick ass too, you have to be so incredibly strong to be able to stay in a tucked position for up to 2 and half minutes while having to deal with all the g forces pushing down on you. plus with downhill, people can be flying through the air, going 110 km/h, and go the distance of a football field. if you dont think thats sick, then theres definatley something wrong with you

how does a mogul background round your skills more? i dont come from moguls, or know anybody who does, so i dont have anything to compare to. but other than letting you be able to get the occasional jump where you pull a twister or a spread, you just bounce through moguls with your knees together. im not bashing moguls cause its a sick discipline and fun to do and watch. but racing helps you with almost all aspects of skiing. it will help you with body placement, it will help you realize how your body movment will affect the way you ski. it will give you outstanding balance.

it gives you the ability to be able to race through gates, skier x, powder, and kill the groomers.

also, some of the best newschool skiers came from a background of racing, Pollard, Olsson, Morrison, etc...

basically my point is, if you dont like racing, whatever, i could really care less. i jsut start caring when people start saying retarded things cause they dont know what theyre talking about.

haha, cause you can kill the groomers makes you more well rounded? try adding to the equation something as important as 'air awareness' - reminds me of when racer kids try to hit the pipe, ever seen that spectacle? ummm, would you then go as far to say that olympic downhill racing would be more likely to produce newschool skiing athletes as opposed to olympic moguls? are you kidding me?

I wish my school had a team. i just ski for my mountain. it's a good excuse to miss school and go to resorts all over the place. racing helps a lot with moguls cause you have to go around gates, not where you want to turn. why do you people have such a problem with it.

air awarness can be gained in the speed events, tell me, can you launch off lifts going over 100 km/h and travel huge distances on 200-215cm skis, and not die? these guys have pretty good air awarness to be able to control their body position, if their tips go just a little too high then that will screw them up and then theyll bail real bad.

plus as i said racing doesnt only let you kill groomers, you can ski powder jsut as well.

and lets see, if you raced, chances are you did it for at least a little while, and that would make you good enough to ski gates, groomers, powder. thats accounts for Big Mountain skiing, Glade skiing, trail skiing(icy conditions, slush, corduroy), at my mountain we trained in moguls so you could really get body movment. so that taught us how to ski moguls too. so that pretty much leaves you with newschool and aerials taht it doesnt teach you, so id say it gets you to be a well rounded skier.

a 'lift' i will assume is a racing drop off type thing or a knoll...and as far as hitting one at 100km/h, i think that is just plain dangerous...everything i hit is well planned / thought out and nonetheless has to appeal to my liking, therefore i would never hit a roller at 60+ mph...

dude, these guys have the entire course memorized, they know exactly where theyre gonne go, how fast they have to go off the jumps, and more to the point, they know exactly what to aim for when they launch, otherwise they could end up in the fence, cause most of the jumps have blind landings
