Just snapped my brand new ace of spades in half,

sent them back to backcountry and bought some alpha 1s because I'm intrigued by the shape, but I noticed they are not symmetrical in sidecut or camber.

while i wait for them to show up (wednesday) where is recommended on the alphas, where did you mount, and do you like them there? anyone know where the pros mount theirs?

I had the spades mounted center, duh, and loved them there, should I mount the alphas at center?

Mine are at TC some say the money spot is -2.5

I love mine at TC, and if your riding park most of the time then TC

I have mine at -1.5 back rides nice. Just depends what your using them for. If your riding a fair amount of all mountain mount accordingly

I emailed armada a while back when i was doing mine and asked where pros mounted. They said around -1.5 and thats done great for me! love them

demoed them last year and pretty sure they were mounted at-1.5 and took a run through the alley hit the rails and just did a couple 3s with them and they were fine but i still think i would mount them TC

How did you do that?? I've had my ace of spades for 1.5 seasons and they've held up fantastic with at least 100 days on them!

haha, I rode my 2011 spades until the sidewalls blew out (about 80 days) and I was so happy with them that I bought the 2012's, rode them for three days, and hit a wallride and the tip went right under while I front flipped over.

I didn't like how they added camber to the 2012 model (2011 has zero camber) so I figured I'd try the alpha 1's. hopefully they last more than three days.

my 2011's were the limited run that came out for team and such before they were publicly available and have absolutely zero camber, 100% flat. As far as I know the regular production run was also flat, but I could be wrong.

the 2012 "cam-rock" is absolute bullshit, there is no "rocker" on them, even when the bases are pressed together.

Just got done mounting them at TC, if anyone cares, haha

oh, and if you can't get skis mounted for free at a shop, do them yourself. shit is so easy.
