So what's next? (dagmar thread...sorry)

oh and a sugestion for the down rail and dfd rail

if u want them to be urban style then make the urban style jumps

if they arnt supposed to be urban then dont have part of the rail in the middle of the jump on

and try and make the landings  a little more of a slope cause u couldnt trick off of the dfd and the landing was sooooo flat on the down rail

not tryin  to be a dick just tryin to get a better set up

i haven't been out yet, since im stuck here at school, but something that amazes me is people ALREADY making sugestions, critizing stuff saying it "needs improvement". IT WAS THE FIRST WEEKEND! NOT THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON, you should be happy with what they had, and don't complain.. give the park a few weeks to come to shape and let the park crew do their work. You guy's shouldnt expect a perfec setup, they don't have a lot of snow to play with, if you want that, go out west where the clouds shit show out of their asses for days.

sorry, but i had to rant. :)

just got back...respect to the park crew for having all that set up....it was well worth it for 25 bucks, box'x where great... not sure if it was me but the last box at the bottom of the hill(just to the right of the whale..flat box) it seemed to really be sticky, it was probably just my skis, but at point it just seemed as if it was as slick as it should be. Also saw a lot of the park guys were skiers which is awesome instead of having a park crew full of boarders. Well done dag!

oh yeah... almost forgot to mention...did anyone else see those snowboarders that booked it.....so basically there are these 2 boarders about to get on on the terrain park lift....but the lift guys spot that they don't have tickets... so the boarders kinda shyly walk away trying to be kept unnoticed...the guys at the lift start following them....the boarders have a pickup parked right outside the fence in the parking lot...no one else was parked their beside them....so they quickly threw there boards and shit in the back and got in...by this time there were like 5 or six lift guys at the fence....telling them to stop. Then one of the the dag guys comes on a snowmobile and and hes yelling at them to stop ....he parks right behind them to stop them from pulling out...yet they still do....so the guy jumps of the snowmobile and is shouting at them to stop their pickup...(i was just about to get on the chair at this point but to me it looking like the boarders reversed into the guys snowmobile in order to back out ....the snowmobiler guys running along buy them but the guys in the pickup go full throttle down the path down to the high way...anyways i thought that was a lot of excitement for dag....wonder if they ever got charged cause thats kinda serious. Seems really lame on the boarders part cause honestly the tickets were $25..that pretty cheap....and these guys who had a nice pickup couldn't just pay for the tickets....anyways yeah and CTV news was there doing a report on the snow, pretty sick day

I'm not complaining because i had a fantastic day but when i saw the take offs for the rails threw up a little, and its something thats very very very easy to fix to.

the way its set up gives me the impression that one digger wanted the rails to be ride on and another digger wanted the rails to be street style but neither of them spoke and we ended up with a ride on take off with 3 inches of rail sticking out the top of it.

i understand that the landings cant be all that fantastic the first day of the season as well, and i can also understand that the park crew might be a little rusty first day of the season.

the guy on the snowmobile seemed pretty pissed that they got away but matt would probably know about if they got caught

is dag even opened on tuesday.. i thought it was just fri and weekends for the first little bit or are u gusy opened every day now?

it will be different...that is forsure....what will be different?...i think almost everything....check it out...

Are lift tickets going to be 20 bucks still or what? And is there a "free friday" deal happening during the day? That'd be cool...

its prolly only going to be cheap like that until friday because the whole hill will be open....call for prices though...as for the park...rainbow box is open....long flat box is set-up on a table with good take-off and landing....flat down rail is in and set up well with good take off and landing....triple box....three ten foot boxes stuck together slightly angled....the jump is way better than it was....still needs work...and that is apparently being done today (thursday)....so again call for prices if thats an issue...also the down flat down is going strong....maybe some other boxes and rails going in today as well....not sure what...but the park is shaping up well......

man you gotta realize that no one is really criticzing they're just giving suggestions to help the park get better, like does it make sense to you to have the end of the dfd only 3 inches off the ground?kids are just trying to help make it better so people can learn stuff more easily and what not

I understand this, but it was the first week it was open, the park staff is pressed to get stuff out so they do as much as they can to get stuff set up, perfect or not. If it was in the middle of the season, ok make "suggestions". But as you see, parkbuilder said they did a complete rebuild (and probally will a few more times yet before "prime time skiing") so it will improve week after week. Just let the park staff do their job and have patience.

Or, how about the park staff asked us what was good and what needed improvements? If I hadn't been asked on the hill, I wouldn't have offered my opinion here.

Omar asked if we were on steroids, but no, no sex. And watch out kids, dagmars park is being RUN by omar these days.

... no jaime im pretty sure someone asked u for sex, and you agreed, in return for a 5 dollars bill

you dirty slut

well clearly some of this input is being taken into consideration, dagmar definately stepped it up since last friday.

uggg nm.. my point has gotten blown out of porportion,

All I was trying to get across was, don't expect perfection first week, wait a bit, thats it

ne ways, can't wait to ride!!

won't be able to go till the 17th cause of dam exams

i went today, its looking like its gunna be pretty sweet they had 5 jibs setup and alot of the ones that arent setup rite now look like fun, pretty much everyone was hitting the flat box today so the landing was constantly fucked but it was a good time

the jump line is pretty lousy rite now tho, the first jumps just been rolled over by everyone and its a challenge to even clear and the 2nd one is about the same just smaller, but hopefully they'll get some more snow and fix it up

Keep the comments coming....be constructive though....hearing what everyone else thinks helps for a better park...we will try our best to make things better...but certain things may not be possible...we know where most of the problems are and we are going to try and address those problems and make everything better as the season continues....but from opening weekend to this weekend has been a big difference....sorry for the bombholes on the flat box...its impossible with the amount of use that feature is getting....love skiing love parks....peace

i was there last Thursday and it was pritty good

my suggestions

get the jump groomed ( im sure it is now )

flat box

i dont particularly like how the flat box is set up because if you where going to hit it and try a pretezel or something but you came of switch early its kinda a drop of a snow ledge.

the jump onto it was below the box and hat no lip so it was kinda weird to get on to regular and especially if you were spinning

flat down

on thrusday the jump onto it was a triangle??? which was weird and kinda okward

the rainbow box was sick but it was closed all night

the trible box

there wasnt much of a jump on to it and the boxes went like flat up down which was werid

but all in all good for the opening of the season

cant wait to go back and see whats been done

BBB

three of those 10 foot boxes put together to make a 30 foot cool guy box...rainbow was cracked....fixed soon time...we will try and address those issues mentioned....come ba ck though everything changes quickly...

Hey folks,

So we finally addressed the shitty jump, its fixed and its sweet, the landing is much steeper and we cut the back of the take off so if you roll over it you drop like 5 feet lol.... we made more snow, so its pretty fun right now.

we installed the 32 ft shotgun flat rail on a table, so it has a good landing, great for spinning off, the end of it stands about 6 ft tall, so you can 270 or 450 out and land nice.

rainbow box, and whale box are fixed and are open

I understand about falling off the edge of the decks on the boxes, I'll most likely make them like the Flat down, so there are no harsh drops off the sides.

I'll break out more features soon, like the B Ship, the FDF rail, and C rail

jump is good my suggestion is to make a pile of snow at the top on the jump side so your not straight lining it for the jump
