So Some Kid At My School.....

thats really bad is your school big, if not that is even worse. you should say something to the principle get on the good side just in case you get in trouble later down the road

damn thats fucking dumb.if i died id like to have some kind of rememberance by my piers whether they knew/liked me or not.

p.s. you should make a t-shirt or something about this, or at least argue to your school that they need to do that, sometimes that stuff works and you might end up a hero!

ok everyone, this is his real email. papenna@msad15.org . I really encourage everyone who tried to send him one on the bad adress to re send. he needs to hear this.

back to the top of the forum, I really want people to email the principal,i would myself but he knows me email adress

I think the worst part about this is that if it were something like a drinking and drivign accident he would be acting totaly different.
It seems so disrespectful to not mention the loss of a student.

that's fucked upppp
my school had a moment of silencec for a kid, quincy coleman, who was a gangster and sold drugs (crack), but suuuper nice and generous at school and when he wasn't around those people
you should watch the video in my signature, it's super well made about him
but, +vibes to that guy

wow dude that video is really really good. the thing of it is, compared to your school , my school is like an elementary school, which only makes this worse how we had nothing for this kid.

there was this kid at my school who ive smoked with a few times.. well he died of a morphine overdose last week its been hard for alot of people

Well when i was in middle school (in highschool now) like ten years before i got to middle school a student had died of cancer of some kind. This student was on the basketball team and supposly always a cheerful good person. What my school did to recgonize his passing was to frame his jersey and hang it in the basketball court or gym then there was a little plague underneath it talking about how great this kid was..i think your school should do something like this in a way to recgonize the passing of a student..

yeah, for sure. it's sad no matter what.
but, Seattle (where i live) has been having a huge gang problem recently. especially with kids joining gangs. my school is in the hood, but it is kinda seperated almost. there are the ap students (my friends) and there are the "hood rats" or whatever you wanna call them. most everyone is super chill at garfield, but it's just so easy to say, "fuck school, i'm going to go hustle and sell drugs and join a gang." so, quincy was shot in a drive by, literally right next to our school at about 9-10 on halloween night. RIP
anyway, it's terrible that this is happening to your school, i'm gonna send your principal a respectful email

yeah i could deffinately see what your talking about. and thank you for sending something to him. just let him know that everyone's life deserves respect, no matter what.

To all who may be concerned,
Today I heard about someone who passed away two nights ago, a student at your school. He was a hardworking person who led a harsh, tough life. Yesterday, you didn't act upon the death in any way. You didn't have an assembly, or even a moment of silence. I'm curious why you didn't acknowledge his death, for his friends and family, or even the general populus of your school. Please do something to remember him.
Thank you,Peter KillorySeattle, WA

what i wrote ^

thats perfect dude, thank you. and anyhting he may say about an assembly, don't listen. he will say/do anything to save face.

yeah, for sure. i'm waiting for a response from him. haha...
and when the response comes, i'ma post it heeeere, so you can call bs or not

yup... i have some questions though... where is the school (city/state), what's it called, and what's the name of your principle?

okay my school is in Gray Maine, it's called Gray-New Gloucester High School. The Principals Name is Paul Penna

wow....we had 5 kids from our schools die in the four years i was there, all very different sociallly, all were recognized with announcements and memorials.

you have no idea. he once started to basically make fun of me to my face because im a freshman. i have no respect for him whatsoever

yeah, my school seems to not care about anyhitng to be honest. this is the second person to die in two months and there was not an announcement or anything for either of them

reading this kinda made my heart sink, i dont know the kid or anything but if anyone dies it is a must to have a funeral or ceremony to honor that person. i wonder how his brother is handelin seein he was with him, positive vibes to the fam thats sad

thanks for finding this. seeing it really makes me angry.my town doesn't give a fuck at all and it really sucks.

yeah i was about to post that today...... i found out that his brother was walking home with him and that he saw the whole thing. the two of them had a hard life. their real father was a dick and would rape their sisters....... they moved in with a foster family and things were going ok until their foster dad died. their foster mom started to treat them pretty bad and any paychecks they would earn from working went to her. she never even offered to give them a ride to their jobs, which probably could have saved him. its a sad story

really? that's really cool actually...

quincy was a good kid, just did bad things. that probably sounds weird

oh, haha. still no response from your principal

yeah dude one of the lunch ladies at my school who my mom works with was really close to him and she cried for like 3 hours in school when she foud out. the teachers and other staff are all really dissapointed with the way it was handled.

selling drugs isn't bad, its just illegal. was the drive by directed at him or was he in the wrong place at the wrong time?

I said this, i think it's pretty good:

To Whom it May Concern,

I heard about the recent passing of a student at your high school.

While I may not be from your town, and have never met this kid, it made

me a bit down. What made that feeling even worse was when I heard your

school was doing nothing to remember this student, despite students

wanting a memorial. The deceased lived a rough life, and he worked

nights at McDonalds so he and his brother could give their family some

money. That story is nothing short of inspirational to me. A hero like

this should be honored, not forgotten. I ask that you please, make an

announcement about his passing at the very least. Something needs to be

done. At my school, we had a memorial for a student at the middle

school. We also had one for a kid who overdosed on morphine. And from

what I've heard, your school community is a smaller one, which I can

only imagine makes the passing harder on the students. I remember

seeing kids sobbing when the kid from my high school passed, and I go

to a school of over 2000. So this is your time to step up and be there

for your students when they need you the most.

Sincerely,

Brian Sweeney

that is perfect, thank you. i really hope he reads this and thinks about the message he sent when he did not have any form of remembrance for the whole school

well, he was caught up in some gang violence
he was in a gang, valley hood (madison valley in seattle) and they had lots and lots of beef with a south end gang
so, that's what happened. later that week, the assassin of quincy was found dead and there was some kind of signature from valley hood. so, it's just endless killing, really sad

kid at my school died a few years ago and we put his enitals on our helmets with stickers, people wrote them on shoes, ordered braclets like the livestrongs, we remember him with awards given to people, put a page in the year book for him and still have an annual 5k run in his memory...my schools small like urs about 400 in highschool...your principal is a dumbfuck man all of this stuff should be considered....

thats really good that your school did all of that, i wish mine would, but it's been three days now since his death and stilll nothing. it sucks
