So post-modern.

Do you find yourself thinking "Oh I could be watching a different show on Netflix!"?

Do you see other girls on Facebook and suddenly find your girlfriend less appealing?

Do you find yourself wondering if you'd rather have a pair of Armadas than your Line Afterbangs?

Do twitpics of other people having fun make you question your night in?

Oh that's soooo postmodern.

Share your "so post-modern" experiences here.

Has anyone every started a thread that someone posted a youtube or .gif response to without actually considering your topic?

Oh that's soo postmodern.

How are they? They're just basic human desires that existed long before the post-modern movement began. I have a feeling you don't understand what postmodernism is.

How can you have the same kinds of dilemma's in decision making when you don't have social media that allow you to view many aspects of reality at the same time.

So your argument is that people have long been saying "I wonder if I should trade my oxen for the other oxen at the market (that only happens once every six months and I better make up my damn mind because I can't click a button and erase that decision)."

Thinking of watching a different netflix show: equivalent to wanting to read a different book before the internet was invented

Thinking girls are hotter than your girlfriend: wanting what you can't have, certainly not a new concept.

Wanting a different pair of skis: Wanting what you don't have, another concept that is certainly not new.

No idea what "twitpics" are, but i'm pretty sure people questioned how best to spend their evenings long before the internet came along.

The platform has changed, the sentiments haven't. Those aren't postmodern ideas.

If you had said something about people being able to mediate their image through the internet and create an impression of themselves that isn't necessarily true to how they really are in real life using social media, i would agree with you.

OP, i have a horrible case of post modernism, along with a terminal case of FOMO, if i hear ppl are drinkin, im fuckin there! 1130 on a work night, doesnt matter! were shuttin the bars down!

Had a beautiful post-modern day listening to terry riley and steve reich.Followed it up with a few chapters of To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf.

So post-modern.

Much atonal.

Wow.

Much art.

Just trying to help op be less of a dumbass, no need for you to get butthurt about it. Unless you're butthurt because you also want me to show you how to be less of a dumbass. If so, just ask, I'm glad to help.

I get the feeling that the majority of the people in this thread have no idea what post-modernism is...

i was all like, "gonna read this thread, should be interesting"

but then i was all like, "OP runs through cornfields backwards as fast as humanly possibly with their pants down and loves every second of it"

no

If I started to have those feelings then I would most likely break up with her, because that relationship wont last.

Have the Armadas halos best ski I've ever had.
