so i purchased a pair of 06-07 fujatives and the ycame with marker 11.0 free's, shit...

not once have i had an enjoyable experience with these piece of shit bindings, most of them being technicians fault.

time 1: after purchase asked tech to put them at core centre, right where it said core centre on the side of the ski, come back there mounted for racing....so ask for remount and he still remounts them at 2 cm back, so not only are they not in the right place but theres already holes in the ski.

time 2: i didnt notice at first but he didnt install the bindings in the centre of the ski (width wise) they were offset left., by like a cm after landing a fat 180 on a jumpo, i proceeded to turn/butter out to leave the park, side of brake catches snow becasue its hanging over due to remount and snaps..

takes 1 week to get new bindings on under warranty and mounted at core centre, yhet again another set of holes in the ski..

time 3: riding today at the golf ocurse where we set up a nice booter, land a nice 180 tail grab, pop skis off to hike back up (popped them out with poles), after popping out i hear this weird click, loook down, the bacl part where the brake is attached to snapped off, WTF!!!!!!!!!!

wtf do i do now, im thinking off going back to the store/shop where i bought them, complain of how shitty their service was, and how theyu wouldnt even give me a different set of bindings under warranty form marker, and putting 3 sets of holes in my skis, theres no where to remount anymore so im so pissed..

ns, help me, out what do i do now......long post, wow

yes i did, right on the tech shop slip like where it asks for ur information, ski ability ext..... in bold and cirlced..

Then go and complain.... If you asked them to be mounted at core center and there is written proof and they didnt, go and complain. Just be sure to bring in the slip saying that you wanted them at core.

Go complain. They should give you new skis for fucking them up 3 times. They should also warrenty your bindings. Ask for a refund on your bindings and get some better ones. Marker sucks.

Why are you saying Marker sucks when all your complaints are about your shop and not marker?

Probly because marker decides the binding warrentys, not his shop... But marker bindings are terribly. I had some black carbonfiber looking one (forgot model) and I would literaly fall out if I leaned forward and I had the din maxed out. Im not even big either, at all.

get your money back from the shop and take your business somewhere else. Also, make sure you tell everyone you know in that area that the shop blows, and not to do business with them. Maybe that will teach them not to continually fuck up people's set ups.

marker is so shitty, i have their free ride binding from last year, and the heel piece / brake has had to be replaced so many times, it breaks pretty much every 3 months off the simplest of switch landings, just happened today, fuck marker.

I've never used Markers except once on a demo ski, so I really can't say much about them, but the brakes are continually breaking on my Salomon bindings, like at least once a month, and it's usually after I land switch that they explode. last year the whole plate under the brake was cracked, but luckily Salomon seems to have a pretty good warranty, so they got fixed. You should definitely complain to your shop about that mounting though, because that is entirely uncalled for.

let me guess, ski market? i got my brakes changed on mine when that happened. advice, dont buy marker, its been working for me for the last 2 years

fuck man i HAVE the EXACT same problem. Fujatives, Marker Free11.0s, brakes snapping - twice inless than 2 days for me. Took it to the fuckin shop and they try to get away with it by saying all the brakes in the industry's the same design, so if u land switch and u pop out, it snaps. WTF! you dont see ppl on p12s snapping brakes every second day! so i say fine fuck u ima return these pieces of shit, and they say u cant return them without a legit reason. so i get the manager and he finally says he'l replace the brakes for half price of the brakes, $16.

And first of all, i told the fuckin tech guy to set the din higher than normal cuz i do park and i dont want it popping every jump. What does he do? He sets it at fuckin 4.5!

srry about the rant bu it fuckin pisses me off to think ive already spent about 80$ on repairs which i couldve spent on diff. bindings.

so ya crank the din and hope it doesnt pop switch again, thats about the only thing u can do, cuz they dont let u claim warranty on brakes.

AAAAGGGH!

Dude, you really need to demand a replacement pair of skis. Skis (especially K2s, nothing against them, I love K2s) but skis lose a lot of integrity with 2 or more drillings. It was clearly their mistake, and honestly, at store's wholesale, getting a pair of fujatives wont cost them much. Which shop is this by the way?

Yeah really, but if the shop is sketchy enough to fuck up the mount 3 times, and wont even give you brakes. I think your going to have a really hard time getting new skis from them. Ask for a refund and take your money elsewhere. And dont get markers, unless its the jesters which are seeming to get good reviews. Good luck man.

The tech guys cant set din's higher than what is suggested by the bindings brand based on weight, height, age and skiing ability, if he would have set it higher for you and you went and broke an ankle or something you would be able to sue him for setting it higher than recomended tightness, its all for liability reasons

But I went to REI a couple days ago to ask a few questions about the jesters. Finally I had a question about the DIN setting and they told me you have to sign a liability form to have them set your DIN higher. I thought most places did that? If not...REI kicks ass....their service is top notch

or you could just take a screwdriver to your bindings and set the din yourself. that's what I do if the dumbass shop workers won't.
I'd also like to know the name of the shop that fucked up your skis 3 times and won't fix it. Best way to get back at a shop is buy completely crushing their business buy telling everyone that they are terrible and have poor service.

o....my mistake, yo ucant even really call this a shop, more like a moron convention..

its definately not a shop, and beofre i get hated on, i was straped on cash, parents sketchy about internet buying so it was......fing sportcheck...worst decision of my life...

well let me just say this... having a ski release when riding switch will fuck up the brakes on just about any brand of bindings... happened to my salomons, happened to my friends markers just about every week haha, haven't personally seen it on looks but i'm sure it can happen. But yeah brakes just aren't designed properly for releases when riding switch. Hopefully someday someone at some company will create a brake that can maybe hinge to go either way when releasing. That'd be nice...

Once i had a pair of markers and they got all fucked up like every week. They sucked. in the end i just wore a leash around my boots cause the breaks broke off so many times. I think i paid more for parts on the bindings, then i did for the bindings. they sucked.

if it's written on the ski mounting slip that you are supposed to get them mounted at core center, and they don't, it's grounds to insist that they give you brand new skis.

I don't care what anyone says, putting a set of holes in your skis destroys the resale so much that it makes sense to get new skis at the shop's expense.

I landed a sick 180 tail grab at the golf course didn't needed to be included you were just showing off for no good reason

well why wouldn't you just set the DIN yourself? all you need is a screwdriver and you can do a shop quality job on those mofos.

It's kind of important because it means he landed switch, and brakes get broken easier when you land switch.

I was almost in the same situation...

I bought my Public Enemies at a store (I assume u got it at sports mart or sport chek) and it came with the M11 Free bindings. I told the girl who was sellin them to me that I did not want those bindings, and she tried to convice me so hard that they were "top of the line bindings" "they are great bindings" "Marker is an amazing company", "If they were shitty/ faulty we would not sell them". Then she proceeded to ask me where i mostly ski and i said all of ontario, and shes like oh these bindings are fine for the type of skiing you will be doing. I lauged because last time i checkd,, the rails (jumps to an extent) are indentical to skiing out west. I ended up gettin the MOJO bindings which are still shitty but wasn't willing to shell out 300+ on look bindings, as much as i would of loved to have them. But ya dude, if i were you try to get a different set of bindings at the store like the mojos or the rosi bindings they have, cause the only good marker bindings are the jester and dukes.

how is this any fault of marker? it seems like your shop is the one at fault here and this would have happened with every set of bindings on the market
