So, my season is over...

Yep. Season's over. Came home from vacation in the British Virgin Islands and thought I had at least a month left to ski(Alpine is open for days). First day home, had the house to myself, best friend's birthday(and 4/20, no less) she wanted to have a party, I let her invite her friends over. Started with about 10 people, couple bottles, couple blunts. I put my homie in charge of kicking people out if I didn't know them, then I drained some Guinness and took my girlfriend to my bedroom.

Around 1:30, best friend knocks on the door, I open it, drunk, completely naked, and she decides to inform me of some bad news. My dad caught the early flight home, just walked in the door, my homie that was in charge of bouncing is slayin a chick in my little sisters bedroom, people are fucking in my dads office, and there are people I don't know getting high in my living room. Not good.

So in short, my dad kicked in a door, threw away my ski boots, made me quit my job at Kirkwood, took away my keys, and pretty much kicked my ass. For a house party. Man this sucks.

So my film segment isn't done, and now it won't be, I only have urban and rail shots, so I can't even start to put a segment together, and I won't ski again until I go to college at CU-Boulder.

Life sucks.

Yeah I was having a super progressive season too. Especially with rails, I'm happy with those shots, but I really wanted a rodeo or a flatspin. Fuck.
 
i've never understood the point of taking away something like skiing when someone fucks up. my mom did that a few times before my dad intervened when i was in high school. if skiing wasn't in any way, shape, or form related to you getting in trouble, it shouldn't be taken away from you. taking away skiing doesn't teach you to be respectful or not to drink underaged (which i do from time to time- my prefered medium of inebriation is MJ)- it teaches you that your parents are assholes who are unoriginal and not intelligent enough to come up with a mature way to express their frustration with you. if i was a parent and i came home to a high school house party (college kids would be different- i'd tell them to clean up and go home because i wanted to sleep), my kid wouldn't be spending the night at anyone's house or having friends over for a month or so. doing something RELATED to what you feel the wrong-doing was makes sense, crushing your kids' favorite thing simply because you're a pissed off jackass does not make sense.
 
Yeah, I asked the same thing. I was like "listen guys, I know you cant trust me with a car, I know you can't trust me to stay out, or whatever. Why can't you trust me on skis?????"

They said it's not about trust with the skis, "it's just punishing you where it hurts the worst".

well i can see why they would flip out so bad....i think i would be really mad too if people were fucking all over my house, in my daughters room, smoking in my house, drinking and all that. but that does suck that you can tski

that sucks man but i would probably do the same if i was your dad though...that would REALLY piss me off..
 
Oh yeah they have every right to be pissed. It just sucks cause I didn't know any of the people that were smoking in my living room and shit.

If it was just like me and 10 of my homies havin a little party for my best friend, my dad would be down, but that shit got out of hand.

On a lighter note, I had a great time with my girlfriend haha.
 
I might just get some shots of chicks making out and drinking 40's and me backflipping off some roofs into bushes.

Maybe packin a 9-iron or two.

Oh man, your dad didn't appreciate you turning his house into a lair of underage sex, boozing and drug use without his consent? And he's angry? Holy shit! Who would have thought? And now he's punishing you? I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.
 
^ thats a little harsh man, yes he shoud be upset and punish him, but you dont take away the kids favorite thing in the world. Your only going to lose you kids faster that way.

Drunk.....stoned.....and fucking your girlfriend with people drunk and stoned all over your house with kids getting there seamon all over your dads office chair and his room. And your sister getting juices all over her bed.....nah thats not bad at allll.
 
Yeah, you're right. He should have punished him by forbidding him to go to Ghana instead. The point of a punishment is "punish."

All kids break their parents rules, thats part of growing up. So is getting punished when you get caught. It sucks, deal with it.
 
buaaaaahahaha, EXACTLY. DO you know if the cops came home at the time when he walked in the door he could be held responsible, fined heavily and sent to jail? haha, grow up a little.

On another note: why wouldn't he stop you from skiing? he took away from you value, when you trash what he values. Seems like a fair trade, no?>
 
when I saw 'my season is over' i thought it was going to be a story of a bad injury. instead you had a wicked party. if you look at it that way its not so bad...
 
Yeah I guess that's a good point.

Guys I'm not saying he was wrong. It's pretty obvious I fucked up, and he's totally right for wanting to throw me off a tall building.

This does not, however, prevent the whole situation from sucking badly.
