So my dude got expelled...

and it was pretty unfair. he made a video about it. its gotten pretty big, i figured ns would have a few words on this matter.

your "dude" looks like a real piece of shit. Not surprised someone like that got expelled. Only dumbasses get expelled anyways

kid really didn't do anything wrong if that was actually what happened. but he did skip out on the test which was part of the student handbook rules. maybe he should take it up in a legal sense since he feels so strongly about it.

other then that not much he can do, he didn't take the test, they kicked him out.

Having been "asked to leave" boarding school I know this sob story all to well... Reality check. Private school can kick you out, search you, and demand urinalysis in any situation. Off campus or not they might not be able to physically force you to give up the keys but they sure as hell can boot you for refusing. Not to mention look at that kid he obviously smokes pot and probably had it in his car. You are literally considered the child of the faculty while in their gaurdianship. Your parents sign over so many rights to their minor key word minor when you sign the enrollment contract. Kid has nothing to bitch about. Enjoy public school you fucked your opportunity

thats exactly right and thats kind of the point of the video. Kids and parents are realizing that you do 'sign away your rights' when you go to a private school and they don't like it. Its kind of a big issue at our school right now since like 12 kids have been expelled from our class of like 160

Kid is a strait up whiner.Obviously he would have failed the UA. Papers for hand rolled cigarrettes? please...

It's not the man... It's faculty at a private school at which it is a privilege and not a right to be enrolled at. You have no rights if you wish to be there. It's not public school and claiming rights to search and seizure is laughable.

You can't sign a contract then say, "oh wait I don't like the contents of the legally binding document I signed," don't break the rules. It's easy.

I see where this guy's coming from... the principal had no right to take action the way he did... he didn't do things the way the law would require him to do. If he was really sure he had done that. Also they had imprisoned someone they had no evidence against, and without having the authority to do so. I'd be choked if I was that kid. Hell even if he was smoking pot and going back to school there's nothing wrong with that I used to do it all the time. He's not doing it on school grounds therefore not their problem... imo

i know its cool and everything to fight for your goddamn rights and stuff but people just have to know when to swallow their pride.

if you have nothing to hide, take that test and finish your school the easy way.

fighting for such minor crap is just dumb.

Sooo people knowingly agree to the schools rules then bitch when the kids get kicked out. Sounds classic. You believe you should be able to deny a private school faculty member search or seizure or that you should be able to reject their request for a UA? Only a 15 year old weed smoker or a parent who's pride is hurt by their childs legitiment dismissal would whine like that when they know it's exactly what they signed up for.

yes thats true. but our school is quite oppressive to certain people that the administration decides the want out and very lenient to children of big donators and what not (just 2 weeks ago a kid got caught with a tin of dip in class, got 2 hrs detention). also the dean of students 'mr kelly' is a large bald man that literally screams at kids in his interrogations.

its the kind of thing that people don't want to be allowed. Private schools CAN do whatever they want, but should they? to this degree?

i think that is the point of the video.

Dude are you kidding? It's PRIVATE SCHOOL that is not how it works. If you don't like it. Don't sign up and pay thousands upon thousands to go there

Short answer they should be able to run their school how ever they godamn please. You know you can leave anytime? You don't have to pay them for their services. And their oppressive to what people?? Obvious stoners?

not mine (his shits bammer)

anyway i think people may be missing the point, or at least what i think the point is. He could have easily faked the UA or detoxed and passed it or something, people can do these things... but he made a point of bringing the issue to light. YES YOU DO SIGN AWAY YOUR RIGHTS WHEN GOING TO A PRIVATE SCHOOL. We all know that and everybody loves to say it, but SHOULD YOU HAVE TO?

plus, the way this issue was handled was very unprofessional on the part of the dean. He may have been right to want the kid out, but the way he did it was simply not fair.

there is a whole different issue as well, which is that kids whos parents donate to the school receive very different treatment than those who don't. I don't think its within a schools rights to do this, and our school preaches equality and fairness and love and god and shit

This. There really was an excessive amount of lip smacking in that video. But if you sign a contract, you have to abide by it. The handbook said they could make him take a test, he refused, and they kicked him out. I really don't see anything wrong with that.

^money does a whole lot of things.

i hate that it is like that (rich kids going to "good" schools and getting better jobs because of that), but thats how your country is set up.

its also a little bit like that over here, but its definitely fucked up when (example) university tuitions can go into 5 digits.

I wonder why he didn't let them search his car huh? But at the same time I can understand some of the points you guys are making about private school. They literally can do almost anything they want, because you do sign so much away..... hell my schools so strict I get a full hour of detention for not having a fucking belt on.

You don't have too what the fuck are you talking about no one is forcing you to enjoy the opportunities and quality education they offer.

And hold on here. Your admitting he was a drug dealer... And you think this was unjustified. 95% of the time teachers already know what your up to before they actually catch you so they probably wanted him gone. Which as a private school is their right and obligation to the other families in the community to target people who shouldnt be there. I.E. drug dealers. Grow up man

hahaha, i've never seen such a prime example of a snotty little vagina. if he knew what was good for him, he'd drive himself and his shitty bitch prius off a cliff.

wahhhh, harden the fuck up and stop pretending like you're fighting for some cause. your life must be very pathetic and meaningless to care that much and to make this video. i agree that the school should kick you out because i sure as hell wouldn't want some jackass, spoiled shithead like that representing my school.

after reading more of the posts on this thread, his video is irrelevant. The guy obviously had weed in his car and would have failed a drug test. The way they handled it may have been out of hand, but when they say take a drug test or you're expelled, you really do have the choice and he chose to be expelled.

BUT the searching of his bag while at school, and the urine test is all with in the schools right. Trying to search the car seems a little sketchy to me, but if the kid was a little more honest and had nothing to hide he should of just peed in the cup.

It's like that everywhere. Yet you blame America hahah wtvr man you can buy a better then average education almost anywhere if you got the cash. Your really gonna tell me it's wrong that for people who can afford it there are options that outweigh those without $? The world is soooooo unfair wahhhh

i specifically said that they were probably right to want him out.

but to put things in perspective here hes not like a druggie stoner fuck up. this kid works most of the time hes not in school and smokes weed and drinks a little bit but is relatively responsible (extremely responsible compared to the fuck-up-drug-crazed class that we have). In my opinion hes a good guy, but my opinion doesn't matter anyway.

I think the WAY he was expelled and the treatment he received from the dean was unjustified. If the administration wants him out because hes dealing drugs then they can catch him dealing drugs not possessing rolling papers.

and im aware that no one is 'forcing' you to go to a private school (although few kids have a say in the matter) and in fact less people have enrolled in the freshman class because people do not want to sign away their rights.

And we know he had a lot to hide... The OP admits he was a drug dealer this isn't some civil rights case. It's just a snotty, spoiled stoner with more opportunity then he deserves trying to defend himself in a situation during which his rights were not violated once if his story is the truth

I have no idea why his lifestyle is relevant he wasn't following the rules and chances are he wasn't an asset to the schools community in anyway except to score bags...

you are so fucking stupid.

it's A PRIVATE SCHOOL. your parents are paying an insane amount of money just so you can get a supposedly better education. you are in a school that's a privilege to only those who are wealthy and you and this moronic friend of yours are perpetuating the spoiled bitch stereotypes of that you know everything, and you're entitled to everything.

you kids are fucking pathetic and if you don't like the "oppressive" nature of your PRIVATE SCHOOL, then attend a public school... or is that not an option because that's below your standards? just wait until you get out of that little gated community bubble of yours, you pussy.

yeah i agree with that. You sign a contract when you go to private school and wave a lot of your rights. I just thought it was cool that he stood up to private school lol. Wish I was ballsy enough to do it at my school.

he literally had to block the dean from entering his car. The friend that he was caught with drives an old truck that doesn't lock. that kid had no choice, his car was searched against his will.
