My dog was just put down and i'm half way around the world. didn't even get to say goodbye to him. Strange how you can get so emotional about your pet, I never expected to be so sad. Life goes on, eh?

Im off at college and my dog might be on his last legs. Hes a good guy, but ultimatly there is nothign i can do about it, so feeling sad wont help.

they dont call em mans best friend for nothin dude

just look at him as an old man in dog years, just like humans, its for the best

that one

Yeah, theres nothing to do about it, he was like 12 years old so I knew it was coming but theres still nothing you can really do to get ready for it, you know?

damn...yes life goes on but it must be hard. im dreading the day tha my dog dies because i love him a lot and hes really a good companion even though i droped him and broke his leg when he was around 3

Theres this frat at Hope College, Michigan, that susposidly had to raise a puppy for like 3-6 months and then kill it to be in the frat. Probably the gayest thing ive ever heard... but then again I only heard it.

I know man, it's tough. But imagine losing a close friend or family member. I've been lucky enough for it only to be dogs.

cat just dies kinda sad but forgot about it over vacation,my parents sorta put it down without telling me, it kinda pissed me off cause im the only one who liked it

My mom moved to Calgary and took my dog with her.

She put the dog down in June and I didn't find out until yesterday. It sucks.

that sucks dude, i have lost 4 animals in the past 5 years.. and a grandmother... in other words other people have it worse than you

and people have it a lot worse than you man. just because someone didnt lose a family member in some tragic accident or have 3 dogs ran over in a span of a month doesnt mean they cant be sad about something.

i'm just saying i'm not really sad about it, but like i'm telling him to suck it up... or atleast.. tell it to your friends people that care, what good comes from telling it to a web site, thats just asking for sympathy.

wow dude of course he was asking for sympathy thats why he did it asshole, and thats also why im bringing this thread up cuz im basically watching my dog die now. its 4:45 am and he's like 11 and got really sick tonight, like cant stand up and just in really bad shape. and im a fucking mess dude, so fuck you and your sympathy shit, i say the kid derserved' it.

sometimes people just need a little sympathy. there's nothing wrong with that. if we were supposed to make it through life without ever getting support from others, why would we need family, or even the ability to communicate? let's all just try to avoid being malignant. it's ok to be nice to people or ask for help when you need it, it doesn't make you weak.

my golden died 2 years ago. she was 13, and perfectly healthy and active until one day she just lay down and literally fell apart from the inside. it was pretty gross and horribly sad, her face swelled up from internal bleeding. and she lay there for 2 days, unable to move. I just hugged her and then finally had to say goodbye on day 3, my mom had her put down because it was too awful to see her lying there suffering.

my new dog is the shit though, hes seriously the worlds best dog.

hey sorry about your loss. i know exactly how you feel, you can get really attached to dogs. you'll feel better soon though.

word man. my dog got weak around 9, arthritis and such... but still was healthy enough to run for a ball from time to time... when she was 12 it hit her like a brick wall... shit sucks ... that was just over a year ago

Gawd I know what you mean...my dog got ran over the other day...just tresure the memorys of that wagging tounge and tail :)..i'm nto really to optomistic right now either

You don't come on to a thread like this to say that man. Go somewhere else to rant on about how fucking cool you are.

yea its sad but you eventually get over it. dont let it get it in the way of your life though

when i went to vail a while ago my dog ran away from my grandparents house who were looking over her at the time we were gone, she got his by a car in the road, that sucked

i'm sorry dude. i'll be the same way when my dog goes. that's life though, it's inevitable. i hear it's great to get a new dog, it helps you get over it.

yaa it srsly sucks, but if you can afford it to get a new dog it's awesome cause you get a whole new experience that lasts long again
