so i was at squaw this past week when i saw some guy go huge off a cliff and not ski out. later that day i found out that that guy was someone that i knew really well. he went off the cliff and landied in 5' of powder. he flip and stuck into the ground head first. they got him out a couple minutes later and he was unconsious and not breathing. they say that his face was blue. its kinda scary cuz if he was in there another minute then he would have died. ive never heard of there being so much snow that its dangerous exept for avalanches.

 
I was under the impression you can breathe for around 15 minutes through snow before making an 'ice mask'

nope, 5 feet is a little much to be skiing in for me. i'd like about 2 or 3 feet of fresh and thatd be a dream. 5 is just ridiculous

yea thats odd...ive been buried deep in snow b4 when i jumped off my house into a 10 ft powder drift...i had to be dug out by my friends but i was breathing for a while in the snow...was it wet snow no the ground?

Fuck that, there is no such thing as too much snow. I would venture to say that your buddy shouldn't have landed on his FUCKING HEAD in 5 feet of powder. That's dangerous.

Damn man in the midwest we are havin so much rain is gettin dangerous. Im gettin a little pist off here! The snow is terrible i dont even wanna ski right now!!

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

a system moved thru the foothills of the rockies starting this morining. its now about at an inch and a half were i am (still snowing and supposed to continue for 2 days), some of the lightest snow i have ever seen, trying to pack it in is like trying to pack in a cloud, it just moves to the side.

yeah, i read about that in the sierra sun or whatever...and totally, there is such a thing as too much snow. few things piss me off more than dropping onto a 40 degree slope in the trees during a big storm and- stopping. and then having to sidestep out of the trees.

naw this was after a 4 foot dump of really wet snow. people were sinking in up to there chests and permentatly losing skis.

were about 2 feet short of regular snow fall so far this year. last year at this time when i went down to my cabin to clear out the driveway we measured it and it was 42inches of snow, this year there is only 18 inches
