So much for early snow at pc...

Ya that makes sense. When your scrubbing speed and not making turns its hard to judge speed. At least for me anyways. Im stoked to see it!

The night skiing was great! I only hit the 1st and 3rd jumps but i thought they were prime.going back monday. so stoked!

went skiing tonight, i thought it was awesome. Visibility is great (not as bright as it could be, though), and the landings weren't icy death except for the end of the last one in the new line. The new line is soooo fun

they never really use ALL of them (unless they decided to be super cool about that this year), but a few will go in Kings, and i could see a few more going in on 3 kings, especially when pick opens up. so i would guess... a few more days, if not a week?

getting off work and going night skiing at PCMR is pretty much the sickest thing ever. Tomorrow night pow riding after work under the lights!

The only thing I would change up about the setup right now is have a path from first time lift to bottom half of kings. Riding that lift is way faster and if the top half of the jumps are icy death then its stupid to have to ride the whole way up. Oh well, still sick!

I was imagining a run cut into the mountain to conveniently ride kings at night.

Three Kings (Pick) is not called kings. Kings Crown is called kings. Erryone knows this.

So I went nightskiing today and friday and i must say i am very disapointed at how few people were there, i guess it was pretty cold but i thought there would be more than five other people there.

So at any point during the rest of the fucking season will PC be on par with east coast parks like killington and carinthia? I only bought a PC pass to ride park there, because any time there's new snow I'll be at Alta, and I sure as hell didn't pay 450 bucks to lap a park with maybe four features I feel comfortable hitting.

Went night skiing, pretty fun, not too icey either. Should be really fun when the full park is open.

This is just my first year riding any park at all, and I did end up hitting some shit in kings today, but it's nice to have some smaller shit to warm up on and to help get my confidence up.

It's not called Kings. Don't call it Kings. Kings Crown is called Kings. 3 Kings is called 3 Kings or Pick.
Get Learned.

We need a name for the 2 different sections of pick cause it gets damn confusing trying to explain what you did on the second jump in the 3 jump line on the lower part of pick. See what I mean.

OG pick's about to open, so we're about to have the old lane plus two new ones. i'd say keep the original lane as pick, the other 2 as 3 kings

The runs are actually already named. The first run skiers right with 2 jumps is 3 kings. The one that braks off of the top of pick is quicksilver. The run that quick and 3 kings run out into is bunny hollow, or 3 kings, and pick n shovel is still pick. There you have it.

ive heard rumors from different sources that say kings wouldnt be open to public until feb. monster team gets it for two weeks and then the flying tomato gets it to practice for xgames with a bag jump etc...
anyone else hear anything about this or is it just a falseafied rumor.

I feel like coops wouldnt do that, hes way too stoked on opening shit to the public, i dunno why theyd ever give anything to the "monster team" they did a really good job using the bag jump...

i heard that too. i really hope not, but it looked like they were pushing a big flat spot for a bag. its really shitty because it looks like they arent pushing jumps on pick until its done.

that would be the worst thing ever pretty much. shit like this is why everyone hated jim mangin or whatever his name was.

My thoughts exactly. Now they just opened the pipe and now they are closing it off for an airbag jump. OG pick isn't even open. I could of sworn OG pick was open at this time last year and Kings was on the brink of opening.

Yeah, Pic/pipe is normally opened the first couple weeks of December. Then Kings is normally opened late December/ first week in January. If Kings doesn't open until February(after the FIS contest) it will probably just piss a lot of people off. I feel bad for the kids who are competing......

Yeah. I know a handful of kids that are competeing a lot in pipe comps for the USSA and USASA and they have had barley 2 days of training in the pipe. Kind of shitty.

Damm, it really seemed to me like they tried as hard as they could to get the pipe up and then begin kings. Blowing snow like motherfuckers

so what they have plenty of snow to build any park right now.... they could push kings in less than a week... pretty wack they arnt opening kings till feb

That's what I was saying. I know the temps sucked, but that isn't an excuse for taking a month to build it or only allowing Monster to have access before the contest in 1 month.
