I ski about 45% park and the other 55% trees and powder. there isnt alot of open powder skiing at the local mountains so im not looking for something long. I am 5' 11" 190 lbs. Any recomendations?

not one of the most popular choices, but the 175 ARV could be good. its actually a lot of fun in the park and handles the trees and whatnot damn good as well.

a lot of people do ride the foils (i.e. doug bishop). a lot of people on NS in particular, myself included, have a problem with the foam cores in salomon skis. many people just prefer the wood core and durability of other brands.

Its weird how some people care about durablility in a ski, although they get a new pair the next year anyways.A salomon ski will last you a year no doubt.

one thing to consider is the ability to resell. i ride a pair of armadas for a year, and they still got plenty of life. i can sell them for a little bit of cash the beginning of next season. if salmons only last you one year, you spen 4 or 5 hundred bucks and cant make any money reselling them used. You see a lot of salamons being resold on here (in comparison to other wood core brands)?

Get something with a bamboo core. It is super poppy and great in pow. I have some liberty SB's and ski a ton of park and a pow when storms allow it. I LOVE THEM.

good call on the bamboo but just know that they wont be a real good carving ski at all so if you ski any groomed stuff you may want a differnt ski

You think so cuz I can carve like mad on mine. I am no racer but it is probably because I am used to having no edge. I just upgraded from 04 Fuji's.

theyll carve great but really lay into um and theyll give a bit but if your not a racer or not 300 pounds you may not notice i used to race so i always like to ride stiffer skis i guess
