If you were living in Vienna, Austria for 3.5 months(just as I am) and you planned on skiing a lot and you could only bring one pair of skis...what would you bring?

ummm... what kinda skiing are u planing on doing? Im not familier with Austria's snow and terrain..

But it sounds like you should get a one quiver ski like an ARV or something..

yeah im not sure what the skiing is like there, I'm thinking something around 90mm under waist, arv would be good.

personally, if i ever came to a situation where i didnt know what to expect, i would bring a ski with a 95--100 waist and medium flex. generally skis in that area are really good allaround. something like the ARV, Tahoe, 09 Blend, Kung Fujas, Bridge, Gun, or Brigade... all within that range i believe

Tahoe's are a good bet. or you could bet on getting like a foot fresh everynight and bring some EPs

if u could bring 2 id bring hellbents and anthems but in ur case i would bring either the:

kung fujas- maybe havent heard that much on them
bridges- those would be really good pretty fat and good for park and such
seth- this would be my biggest vote
ive heard in the park that they are pretty good not like an anthem but still pretty good
also u have that miny rocker for those pow days

Yeah I'm leaning towards the Seths and ARV's right now, I may just bring my gotamas though.

Thanks for all of your input.

scratch steeze dude

they are 110 underfoot but i 4 guys i know shredded them in park and everything.

i road them and they are superduper versitile, really sick in pow too

seths

destroy everything on the mountain, i dont think there is a better all mountain ski..

i think id have to go with either volkl bridges or msps.....something that would rip down the endless groomers and yet still be stompable in the occasional park run...but idk...never been to austria.

Yeah I had the Steezes back in March of 2007, they were ok, I sold them early this season. I skied them in the 185. Wasn't all that impressed to be honest, great in pow, maybe because I'm only 5'8" and 135lbs--you need some weight to throw that big of a ski around in the park.

Bring a ski with a 90-100 waist, the groomers and park will be ridden much more than the pow.

We tend not to get storms anything like CO and the rest of North America.

If you get friendly with a ski shop (no homo) in your town then they'll happily let you borrow some wideboys for the deep days.

Apart from that, it's really up to you. this seasons Seth, ARV, Big troubles, MSP, Tahoe?, Anthem, Blend, Kung Fujas (very nice and light).

That's what I'd recommend.

I was going to say Brigades, but if you are smaller maybe a lighter ski would be good. Park is a little different in Europe though, you want an all around ski.

Na brigades are so light. I'd go with your suggestion. I'm only 5'9" 140lbs and I could throw those sticks around.

i live here tell me what mountains you wanna ski and what time of the year and i'll tell you what it's gonna be like according to snow and terrain, then you pick your own ski

hes there for 3 and a half months, most of the season pretty much,

id go along the lines of prophet 100's, arvs, anything with freeride and park capability
