unfortunately. i feel like turning 20 is one foot in the grave. anyone else feel that way?

celebration this weekend, though...so maybe that will make me feel better.
 
its more like the final countdown. one more year and you get all the legal booze you can drink. sounds good to me.
 
you're not even 21 yet...you shouldn't feel like you're getting old until you're at least past 21, and even then you're not old at all...

until you're 21 you should still be looking forward to getting older, because ...well, i think it is obvious.

Yes. But the feelin soon passes, often the same day, when you go out and get drunk with your friends and realize your still the same old irresponsible young liver-abuser you always were. I'm pretty sure this process continues until you accidently have a kid or something. Why else would single uncles be so cool?

You're making a thread about feeling old when you're only 20. Can you please explain to me why you feel old?

 
i feel old because i'm not a teenager anymore...and in my mind i perceive being a teenager as way more youthful than in your 20s. i wish i could've stayed 18 for the rest of my life. getting old freaks me out because i don't want to look back and think i wasted any of my time while i was young.
 
Happy Birthday. I turn 16 a little later this year and its insane... Thats soooo gahh you'll make fun of me but its getting older and its sad man I don't wanna be some 16 year old... I guess its ok to drive but other than that i like the innocence of a 13 year old...
 
man dude you are crazy. i can't wait to turn 16. actually 16.5 so i will be able to drive. so stoked, i will be able to drive by myself in december, just in time for ski season. i will we up there every day, that's all i am looking forward to for my 16th birthday, skiing.
 
Happy birthday! Mine was yesterday, I turned 33. I'm probably the oldest person in NS...so what. You're not old until you are in the ground. I still tear it up as hard or harder than I ever have. Shit, 20, you're just starting to know yourself. Life only gets better. All that crap about taking longer to heal and not progressing is all in the individuals head. some people think getting older means slowing down, that is horse shit, look at Seth Morrison, he is older than me and still going strong. Don't worry about your age, Its just a number.

Happy Birthday, but you can't seriously consider yourself old at 20. I'm sorry to come off as a bitch, but It just makes you sound like you're trying to get attention by saying that. Hope you have a killer day.

and meggles, there are definitely easier ways for a girl to try to get attention on NS than complaining about feeling old...i've been here since 2003 so i'm not really looking for that. :)

Hey I have 1 month until I am 18, when jailbait really becomes jailbait, and I can actually be charged as an adult for the ruckus that I pull with my friends around the neighborhood with my buddies, so its going to be a pretty crazy month hopefully. Happy birthday by the way
