the ridiculous nature of this post even has me guessing. so. here's the deal, forildo.

I have pretty light-colored khaki pants. I really want some lime green pants. I've successfully dyed rollerblades, ski boots, and hats with RIT fabric dye. so i was thinking about cooking up a big batch with about 3-4 packets of the lime green variation, and dippin the pants upside the mixture.

thoughts ? feelings ? emotions ?

anyone try this before ? this would be my first dying experience with nylon. and frankly I really don't care how they turn out so im gonna try it just wanna get some input anyway. ill take pics

It might mess up the waterproofing. I've never used RIT dye before, but I'd give the package a read beforehand.

i was gonna hit them up with some wash-in nikwax later on anyway. ill let you guys know how it goes.

that certainly will be interesting. Like the guy said before it might screw with the waterproofing, but if they aren't super tech you can prolly re-waterproof them well enough... what kind of pants are they out of curiousity?
