So im in an akward situation and i want some real help not bullshit

im 16 years old and like most people in highschool i drink.... well i got caught at a party dirnking the day before thanksgiving and i got underage consumption and possesion.. i now have court feb 1st and this past saturday i thoguht i would be safe dirnking again we had a dd and i was at a house it wasnt too crazy.. but at the house someone stole 1200 from the guy who lives there and now supposivly eveyrone who is there is getting questioned and possibly getting a lie detector test... im sure there mostly concerned about the money but if the cops didnt actually catch us with beer or dirnking only through a lie detector could that be used in court against me on feb 1st or since everyone was drinking do you think they will care and are just more worried about the money... i think a detective is coming to eveyrones house to question them so i just dont want to have to say i was dirnking and them see that i have court for it then get screwed....
 
i would not lie to the cops on this one. If you try to lie out of the drinking and get caught, they will think that its is more likely that you stole the money.

how come you didnt book it the first time? but yaa, if i got a mip, i would defintaely hold off on the drinking for a bit/go to less sketch places

second. . . as having gotten in plenty of trouble myself in my highschool days. . . I would suggest that you tell then you were fucking wasted, and theres nothing they can do about it. just dont act scared. . . There is nothing they can do if they heard you were drunk except for scare you. if they catch you have have legal evidence, then yes, you might get in trouble, like your previous situation. This is different, they probobly dont even care if you were drunk or not. EVERY COP EVER drank in highschool, and they dont reallly care. They just try and teach you lessons.. . .
 
yeah dude, you're not going to get in more trouble if you say you drank on a lie detector test. i could go tell a cop i got stoned the other day, its not like im gonna get arrested for that. You'll be fine.
 
I am preety sure you have to consent to a lie detector test, and if you do get tested with out consent and they present it at evedince any half good lawyor would get it thrown out. and they would need a warent to interview you and even if they get one you don't have to say anything.
 
i may be fabricating this, but i'm fairly certain that lie detector tests are not admissable in court. in which case, lie your ass off. the last thing you want is to get in more drinking trouble when the real issue is the stolen $1200. i'd ask a lawyer or someone more reliable than a 21 year old english major. good luck though.
 
but thats what i thoguht the first time the cop asked if we drank and i said yes thinking it was going to be oh well dont let me catch you again take our beer pour it out... but no he took us in... and now since i already have a record i think they will use this against me idkkk im lost does it make a difference if i havent gone to court yet so the cops now dont see ihave a record yet or no
 
step up to the plate and take resonsibility for your actions. not like im ur mom or anything. but just be honest, itll be much more quick n painless. trust me..this shits happened to more than just you.
 
i'm not sure if they'll ask about drinking, i don't think it's relevant. but if they do, tell the truth. and next time, don't drink.
 
if they ask about drinking say "I had a couple casually" don't give a yes no answer on the lie detector. I beat one once (science experiment) I was asked if I had a brother and I said no. (I really do) just stay calm and control your emotions
 
dude you can't get in trouble for drinking now, they have no way of proving it, even if they ask you in the lie detector test and it tests you as lying. Its not what they know, its what they can prove, and a lie detector test doesnt prove anything. and by the way it is really easy to fool lie detector tests.
 
Exactly. Don't worry about the drinking part, they can't get you for that. Tell the truth so you don't get caught in a lie.
 
Do not tell them you were drinking, just say you were hanging out. You dont drink anymore cause u learned your lesson (previous ticket). If someone else says you were, just say bullshit, you were drinking pop the whole time(how can they honestly charge u, unless they have video footage)

IF they ask, "were you drinking on the night of blah blah?" just say "no" and thats it. you dont have to say anything else.

 
A lie detector test is inadmissible in a court of law. My dad is the cheif prosecutor for our county so I hear usefull things now and then.
 
thanks im only doing this for my mom and dad its not that im afraid to get in trouble its just that i want them to trust me and i dont want them to go through thinking im a bad kid
 
They wont turn around and give him another MIP for the last time, but they sure as hell wont be as lenient on he's court date for the first one. First charge you probably could have gotten off being good and innocent infront of the court, but since you are now being questioned for a somewhat related event in a close timeframe it doesnt look good on you.
 
tell the truth. there asking you about money. not if you were drinking. nothing else will happen to you.
 
i dont think they even can use lie detector tests as evidence can they? theyre not generally trusted all that much

and dont lie man, say you had a couple casually, theyre not gonna have a court case for some kids drinking, theyre worried about the $$$$
 
if i do get the test just stay as calm as possible. but it is not a good idea to lie to the cops so idk on this one
 
honestly man, you have NOTHING worry about. i have been here before. i seriosuly doubt they will even mention anything about drinking. it was a party, the kid whos money got stolen already told them there was drinking, they dont care about that. i bet this lie detector thing is a rumor anyways. if it isnt, and they ask you about drinking just say no. even if you said yes nothing would happen with the law, your rents would still prob find out, wich you dont want to happen. just tell the guy you dont know anything about the money. dont sweat it at all man.

If you get caught lieing to a cop about drinking you will get in wayyy more shit than if you just told him the truth. You will more than likely get nothing more than a slap on the wrist in comparrison to getting charged for lieing to the police.
 
to start off lie detectors arent that legit, its pretty much just a heart monitor on steriods, second thing, im 97% sure lie detectors are not valid in the court room, they are just used as building blocks for cases, no results are allowed in the court room, so if for some odd reason you feel like lying, they can never call you out on it with result from a lie detector, they need factual proof that u did it
 
with your uad go to the police station and ask to speak to the arresting officer.. tell him you usually dont party and learned your lesson, and also tell him you want to be a teacher and can't have that on your record, he will most likely drop it to a disorderly conduct
 
well if the whole investigation is about stealing money i don't think they have the right to bring up anything about alcohol, really. plus i don't think they can give you that test without you agreeing to it. i say lie.. cause even if you do get the test and they do ask you, those tests aren't 100% accurate so it's not really valid proof you drank that night.
 
i really dont they could do anything if you got cought on a lie decector test for drinking......they couldent give you an MIP or anything
 
if / when u take a lie detector test, put a pin under ur big toe, and push down on it when u answer easy questions like are you male or female or whatever. it will mess up the results and make the test inadmissable (not useable)
 
Holy hell, I've never heard of ANYONE getting a lie detector test in court, out of court, whatever. I think we can rule that out right now. Tell the truth about everything. If you weren't doing anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about. If you're concerned about the drinking just say there WAS drinking but you personally didn't drink. If someone says "BS" say, "FUCK YOU, PROVE IT," and you're fine.

Easy as that!!!
 
they are not going to give people a lie detector test for 1200 of missing shit. think about that, the cops would be wasting their time.

secondly, I was at a kegger where over 45000 worth of shit got stolen, and there was definitely no reprocussions for the ppl there...

dont fucking worry about it, nothing is gonna happen.
