Hey

I was flicking through the channels 10 minutes ago when I come across a show on discovery channel called Stunt Junkies. I thought it would be people doing crazy shit, but I was wrong.

I turn it on and the 30 min. show is a profile about a snowboarder (i forget his name) who is going to attempt a grind on a rail thats on fire. The rail is 110 feet long and has a bit of a wave to it. It slants down for 80 feet then slants back up at the end. Heres a pic:

Thats just a rough drawing.

The rail wouldn't be that hard, well it isn't a rail, it's about a foot wide and the part thats on fire is a bar on the side of the rail that has propane going through it, so thats not that "extreme" I bet half of the people on here could do that.

Anyway I just wanted to rant about this. Doing something like that would not make you a 'Stunt Junkie' The only hard thing about it would be speed. I don't think the fire will be able to do jack shit in terms of lighting you on fire. Oh the guy said that the fire moving might distract him from concentrating, does he have A.D.D. or something? Did anyone see this? Comments.

Cheers,

-aaron

ya that guy did suck but that rail was at winterpark its not bad at all that guy just sucked

i have a.d.h.d adn if i were to try that rail i could easly keep my concetratration the hard part would be not getting bored while on the rail

Julian Carr is supposed to be on that show too, sometime this season, showing him drop a 150 footer.

his name is jeff meyer & he's a really nice guy... he even thought it was pretty lame, but they asked him to be on the show so he did it...

yeah it was pretty lame. It if was a rail and the kinks were more severe and he was on fire it would be cool.

Ya I saw that, the guy sucked mad shit... They showed what he could do and all it showed was backside 3s over 10 foot gaps. The best thing was a no grab major hucked 720 into powder off a ten foot cliff. How much skill does it take to whip yourself around as fast as possible into cushion. And the show its self kinda sucks (even though I still watch is because its one of the only action sports shows). There was a BMXer once who was going to do an icepick stall and the BMXer had to explain what pegs on a bike were. If your going to make a show, at least get educated hosts. Hell, I would be a 20x better host than those two guys.

You know what would be pretty "extreme" is that like 20+ kink at the mills if I skier did that I would be like wow!

oh i also liked the show where it showed the male horse fucking the female squirrel. they followed up on it and she had like 37 horssel babies. they all fell out of the tree and died. it was sad and made me cry, but i liked the sex scenes!

so the billions of people sponsored by redbull dont count haha. and the dude who said that the bmx dude had to explain his pegs... well the hosts probably knew but not everyone who watches that show know what they are used for. so the hosts were probably just asking for the people that dont know everything about bmx.

Exactly. That one older guy is retarded, always stating the obvious, even after the guy has just told him the exact same thing, and the shaved head guy is just an idiot with an annoying laugh. he knows shit all about any of the athletes disciplines and he's only there because he jumped off some building...

even if he sucked or not.. hes on tv trying that gettin more name recognition while you are sitting on ns bitching about it.. i give him props regardless of how stupid Discovery ch made it sound with all the math and physics.. same for the bmx guy and the snowboarder that did a channel gap thing and the mtb bikers and the quad doing a backflip over a train.. its all skill regardless.. even if the guy "sucked' he stuck with it and did it..i bet youd back out once you saw that fire in real life...
