I look out the window this afternoon:

he is seshing my backyard rail

in my jacket

using my skis...

and then i realize he's trying to learn a Blind 2 out!

so i gave him some tips and got out the camera

of course! the man taught me everything i know and i doubt ill ever be able to carve like him

he was a hot dogger back in the day too so he likes to keep up with freestyle trends haha

 
ahhhh that's so legit. my dream is to soul ski for life and be the old guy in the park that can still do 3's n shit
 
your dad is rad. my dad skis pretty hard but i dont think i could get him to hit a rail. i got him to hit a jump last year and he threw a huge daffy. i didnt know he had it in him

That is awesome. My dad is a rad skier, but I could never get him to hit a box or rail properly... As for jumps, he can and does hit them, but with zero steeze. In the air, he is a gaper, on the snow he is good.
 
That's sick, I can't believe your dad just just went out there on his own and started to try blind 2s, now get him his own sticks and shred the park together.
 
haha one of these days crazy mike from tahoe will drop an edit and blow all of your minds. He's 50+ and can pretzel rails, huck 9's and does the most epic backflips..

so nice. when my mom was.... oh, around 49 or so? She came into the park for a few days to try and learn how to hit jumps.

she eventually decided that the impact of landing wasn't worth the air time, so she stopped. parents who rip are sweet though.

get him to hit it switch.
 
is he the guy that rides at boreal a bunch and patrols at northstar (I think) I met this dad at Squaw who was practicing blind 270's out of the C box. He was also doing front, backs and lincolns on the small jumps. He was not hitting the big jumps because his eyesight was messed up or something. His said his son was like 17 or something and was spancorized.
 
haha sooo sick, my dad is 55 and threw a huuuge 3 of a mogul this year, he wouldnt touch a box or rail though let alone throw a blind 270 off of it
