And they swelled up and the sole shrank about 3 sizes, wont fit in my boot shells any more ya im a fucking idiot. What do I do? please help an idiot
 
Theyr intuition power wraps, they were expanded when i put them in but it took me about 5 mins to close the buckles cuz they were so huge
 
Well you probably had them at the wrong temp and intuition does say do not cook them yourself in normal convection oven. Lesson learned, get some new ones and let a shop do it next time.
 
I molded mine in my oven and didn't have a problem but I also followed the correct directions on TGR. You can heat mold them a few times so I'd suggest taking them to a proper boot fitter and paying them to heat mold them for you.
 
well there's a possibility you did if you cooked them at the wrong temperature.

cooking them too hot trashes ultralon foam.
 
It shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg, especially if you bought them from a shop. Most shops will include the fitting labor with the purchase of the boots/liners. Plus if they screw it up, it's their fault and will take care of the situation. Always try to support your local shops- more times than not, they are there to help you out and get you dialed.

I'm saying if you didn't buy them from the shop and are getting them fit somewhere else.
Molding plus reducing pressure points can get really expensive. I have been a witness to someone in Telluride spending $1k plus for a day of boot fitting.
 
A little off topic but do you guys get your boots molded every year? I have full tilts with the pro intuition liner. And i got them molded last year but my feet have grown a little since then so i was thinking id just get em molded again. Sorry for the thread jack
 
you only want to remold your liners if you need to. for you, if it's just a length issue, you can just get the big toe pressed out a bit (for example) rather than recook the whole thing. either way, shouldn't be a big deal but, in general, don't go remolding crazy and do it every year for no reason.
 
my shop would charge me $50 max for all the work and molding I would need. people need to learn to not get scammed by shops
 
omg... the shop i work at all heat moulding to the shell and liners is free! and any stretches to the shell only cos about £10.

You should of taken them in to a ski shop with CERTIFIED and PROFESSIONAL people will mold them for you with expierience.
 
That is the dumbest fucking thing that I have ever heard. I have fitted and worked on someones boots for 2 hours and the shop that i work at charges them nothing extra. It's called good customer service and wherever you are shopping clearly does not have it.
 
You prob left the liners in for too long. And you're supposed to wrap them in tin foil. My knowledge comes from a man who used to wear og raichles.
 
ive done a few pairs myself in the oven. and they usually do swell up some. but then you put them on your foot first then put them into the shell and buckle down. FWIW, ive had heat moldable liners since 1995, and it seems like the new intuition liner dont need as much heat and less time in the oven.
 
anyone who would pay $1000 for boot fitting and molding needs to eliminate themselves from our gene pool.

or just have me do their fitting for them.

Just thought I'd post the end result for future idiots who go down this road...

I had the liners remolded about 3 times at my local shop (thy only charged me once, which was sweet), but they were sill to short in the toe. I live in Vancouver, so i went down to the Intuition headquarters today, intending to buy a new pair of liner$, but the chick there said they were totally fixable. She just heated up the toe with a heat gun and punched it out with a back massage thing, and they now fit perfectly. Cost me 20 bucks

FYI she also said that the oven baking technique is no longer applicable for intuition liners, long out of date so DONT FUCKING DO IT EVEN IF U FIND LOTS OF VIDEOS AND SHIT ON THE INTERNET.Go to a shop who KNOW WHAT THEY"RE DOING, or, if ur a total stinge hole like me, use a hair dryer.
 
Wow, shops in my town are super chill, one shop that I rarely buy from offered to work on my boots while I waited, and did not charge me anything. (Boot softening.)
 
My shop charges nothing to mold if you buy the boots from us. All the IDs we have molded, shrink in size, and the material puffs up, once you put your foot in liner, and the liner into the shell and buckle, you should be moneeeey!
 
So here's another off topic question.
I have the original blue and white booters, and my liners are super super packed out, but I've never molded them before, because I didn't feel the need to because they were already ridiculously comfortable. So if heating expands the liner, could I go in and get my boots molded and get the foam to expand out, hence maybe feel a little less packed out?
 
Unfortunatly not mate, but if you take them to your neasest shop they will be able to refit them for no more then $20. I refit boots all the time and can make boots 2 sizes too big fit again so it should not be too hard.
 
That Booter liner you have was pretty thin to start out with (their thinnest construction actually) so you'll never get it thicker than when it was brand new. Especially if you have a lot of days on it (over 100). There are other options available to secure your foot and take up slop though (shims and custom shaped foam pads, for example).
 
I can't believe they put this shit on YouTube. If you pay money for liners get them fit with the proper toe caps by someone who knows what they are talking about. Use the toe of a wet suit? WTF

Next video is also stupid but you can watch her legs for a few, just don't read the comments and turn the sound off.
