ok so i bough a pair of skis on here awhile ago and the guys who was selling asked if i could western union him the money cuz he needed it for rent now i talked to himi 2 weeks ago b/c he had to go out of down for awhile and would ship the skis when he got home i talked to him 2 weeks ago and he said he was going to send the skis out on wed or thurs now ive never bought skis online doesnt it take around 2 weeks to recieve the skis? and the guy i bought from hasent been on since i talked to him last. So one can the skis still be in the mail they are comming from Frisco Colordao?

anything with western union is usually a scam not 100% of the time but most of the time....western union is an untraceable way of scamming people happens on car forums all the time

i would usually ask for a tracking/confirmation # unless I know i can trust the seller. But if he doesnt respond to messages or emails for 2 weeks...thats a little weird

wait so did you not even get the address or name or phone number of the guy? i have no clue how western union works... and feel free to mention his name because a friend of his might see the thread and be like yo dude send those skis out ya jerk. and if it ends up being a misunderstanding you can worry about clearing his name later.

the only time i've ever heard anyone wanna use western union is when you get the fake e-mails from "foreign" people that want something in like a different country. i wouldn't assume anything yet cause you know what happens when you assume, but it seems sketch.

Yeah man, NEVER use Western Union, or any other form of money wiring place to send money for a purchase from an unknown individual you worked something out online.

I swear the only reason Western Union is still around is because of all the scams they fund.

Sorry man, its true though. Look at all the ebay frauds. They all want money orders through western union.

i know your worried, but I know who this guy is, and he's one of the most legit guys I've ever worked with. He really hooked me up, so I've got this guys back.

it's probably just a misunderstanding, but still be a little skeptical. Next time get a phone number. I bought some skis from a NSer year before last, and i mailed her a check. It took longer than i thought it should've for the skis to get to me, but they finally came. sometimes shipping gets messed up, but ALWAYS ask for a tracking number. These are things you need to sort out before you send payment.

^ As somebody said above me NEVER use western union. Thats like free money that isen't insured. Anyone that front on a tracking # is definately frauding you. The first this your get is the tracking# from the recipt once you shipped the item. It's just that simple, always use a CC/debit card that is insured or Paypal.

look up his name to get his phone number and try to call him, if a long time goes by and nothing then call his local police, they dont find fraud too funny so they'd probably pay him a visit for you.

yeash i live in phoenix NY....a little town.... and tons of stuff shipped to me goes to arizona first then comes to me so the packages some times do get delayed

Money gram is like personally handing a person cash because it is not offically associated with retail and payments are taxed. You are at the will of the seller now so I hope for your sake that there not gay.

If I'm buying something expensive, I tell the person I have to mail a money order, get their address, then send paypal. Justso I have an address to put to a name. If they screw you over, you can mail bombs or boxes of dog shit to them or anything until they send it to you.

I wonder what customs would do if they inspected a package, and opened it only to find a 2 day old pile of your dog's shit.

I bought some fujis on here and sent the money via Western Union. he said he would ship the skis that day but didnt. a week later when I talked to him he said he would ship them that day. I finally got scared that I got scammed so I decided that the second I got home I would call him and tell him to give me my money back since I had his name adress and phone number.

I walked home mad as shit that I had trusted this person and sent him money. so I open the door and what do I see. a 7 foot tall box. sometimes it takes some time. just call him and see when he shipped them and using what method. sometimes people get lazy and dont ship it right away and then lie about it thinking that itl comfort the person, when it actually does the oposoite it gives them a date that they look forward too and then makes them freak out when their stuff doesnt come that day

i was an idiot and didnt get his number but he seems legit ill give it another week before i do nething or get really worried

do that thing, *67 I think? that you dial before you call so that he can't see your number so that he'll pick up.

dude it's been for ever honestly if it was me that lost my money I'd just call his local police and tell them that he ripped you off on the internet. they might help you track him down if it's a small town and they dont have other shit to deal with.
