So I quit NS, But this is way to big...need some advice!!!

Word didn't even think of that but you could probs get free soap for life if you work it right because that would be way cheaper for them than if you sued for multi-millions...

my guess is if you do this you'll see some compensation, they know you can sue and they might throw something your way, you get something, and you dont have to sue like a dickhead.

I might be wrong (donno how huge companies work), but wouldnt a multi-million dollar company probably have some kind of insurance for that so even if you sued, they wouldnt really care? also, even if they dont have something like that(donno if it even exists) if they make 46 billion/year like previously stated, they probably wouldnt loose sleep over it. sue them for all you can get, hook NS members up with free shit, feed the homeless, and help save the snow owl

Wait what? Seriously? Do you even know anything about corporations? Sure, some of them do immoral things, but not ALL of them. Do you even have any reason to hate Unilever before this? You're turning into one of those 'douchebags' that you hate so much.

Primarily for two reasons, first you say you don't care about preventing this from happening again. wtf? That would be the ONLY reason I would sue. Secondly, you are only suing to screw the big corporations, how is that not immoral just like the corporations you hate?

Ya you are definitely suing for the wrong reasons.

Look I know a lot of you are saying don't sue as it generally is an asshole thing to do. I totally agree and most lawsuits are ridiculous and clog up our court systems. But this to me most definitely warrants legal action. Hell they will probably just settle out of court as US courts are now mandating this as the primary resolution to civil lawsuit cases. Another thought...think of other people that could have gotten this bar of soap, they would most likely be super greedy about it. If I get money I seriously want to do good things with it. I would for sure continue college and work as hard as ever to make a successful life. I have never really wanted to be wealthy when older, but honestly the only thing that motivates me is then being able to give the money back to those who need it.(not to imply im def going to be rich when older, but it is a goal.)

As some stated above, they without question have insurance for this type of situation (every corporation and company does). As I have said earlier, I absolutely hate big business and corporations, so I will be more than happy to go after them.

Ok, I guess my statement was a little too bold....I did think it was absolutely ridiculous and could have easily hurt someone. It is bullshit and should never happen again. But I could just as easily solve that problem by informing the company with a nasty email. I can guarantee they would go nuts over it as they just avoided a bombshell lawsuit. That would be the action to stop this from happening again. I am suing because A. It is absurd and could have badly hurt me. B. I can use the money in much better ways than it piling up in some CEOs corporate account. C. I hate corporations and they decisions they make. D. It would be nice to have some money : ) E. THEY MAKE 46 BILLION ANNUALLY.

You're crazy if you think anything less than a lawsuit is going to get their attention. They're a 46 bill/yr company, they get hundrends or lettrs and complaints that get lost into the archives.

suck it up dude, you didn't get hurt at all, there are no emotional damages, so don't sue. Quit being a pussy and leave suing to people who really get hurt.

they make money because they provide a product that everyone buys. Its legal, people buy it without question and its not like the product kills people. The CEO's make money because they have high risk jobs and they are in charge with a shitload of responsibility.

READ:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negligence

SUMMARY:

There are three elements that must be established in every negligence case, being: duty, breach, and causation.

You you have duty and breach but you unfortunately don't have causation (you weren't hurt).

If some how you were to win the case since you wern't injured you would only be entitled to Nominal Damages but since they are only symbolc they are typically awarded in small sums.

SO ... if you do take this to court this is how its going to go down: Unilever (the company that makes Lever) will realize that you have no case but will not want the hassle of going to court so they will offer you a settlement. The settlement will be small because they know you have no other choice but to accept - maybe like $500 and some free soap. Now you just have to remember that you are paying your lawyer about $100-200 per hours and he will be nickel and diming you for every fucken' cent her can.

In the end you will probably end up owing your lawyer a few hundred bucks and you can be sure he won't take payment in soap.

Ahh so the real reason comes out in the last part. You hate corporations and want MONEY. Yeah, for all your high and mighty bullshit it all comes down to money. You have officially turned into one of those "douchebags" you hate.

And why do people hate corporations so much? Do you people not realize how many things we wouldn't have if it weren't for corporations? Geez, open your eyes people.

seriously! hahahaha. try to get some money, but i doubt you have a good case, its not like you got hurt or anything.

Also, switch to liquid body wash!! its like 10 times better!
