if i may interject with my opinion. tell him you met this cool kid at retreat and dont feel weird about callin him to see whats up...if you boyfriend gets jelous and says not to see or talk to him, ide say dump him...but i dont really know anything else about him or the situation seeing how i skipped past all the other posts
 
I hate when chicks do this to me. Like, I'll meet this new chick, and shes super hot and cool, and after being all flirty for about 5 days she'll tell me she has a boyfriend, and then its just like, oops...

well now that you have seen him and not told him you really cant tell him without looking suspicious. now that you have hidden something from him you have to keep it hidden. or tell him in a casual way. but dont be blunt about it. just make it clear that you dont see the kid as anything more than a friend. that would probably be the best way to go. if my girlfriend was like "i met this guy today who a really liked and we exchanged numbers but we are only friends, but i only want you to know so that i dont have to hide anything from you." i would be kinda jealous, but if she was like "ya i made some friends on the church retreat, it was kinda fun actually" i would be down

if youre apprehensive to tell him, then you have some communication issues, and that just isn't good. might want to start working on that. better to come clean, and have a trusting relationship, rather than a devious and secretive one. also, if you tell this nice little chruch boy that you have a boyfriend, it would give a better idea of his intensions as well. not telling him, as mentioned, is kind of putting yourself in an iffy situation; aka a slutty one. some guys can be lead on, and lead him on, and you might be in more than you bargained for. but he is just a kid, so whatever

Uh, what is your problem? You met a guy, had fun, are now friends? Does your bf not allowed you to have and make friends? Unless you're planning on hooking up with this guy, you have no issue. You're trying to make yourself have an issue that you don't in fact have. You can tell your bf... but what would you say? "uhh, so i met this guy, i was flirty with him and got his number". The only thing that would do is make your bf jealous. So don't be a stupid and stir shit up.
