the same shit happens to me about 10-15 times a day. i do HOURS of grooming, re shaping, etc. and then it gets ruined in like 5 minutes. also, i HAVE been hit by people like that.

you're a fucking asshole for beating the shit out of them. sure they deserved some consequence for being such little pricks but not a beat down. it's disgusting how you're proud of beating them to a pulp for the smallest thing.
 
I was fixing the jump onto our flat box today and I heard "beep beep", look up and see some little kid prob like 8 coming straight at me. he was like 5 feet away when he decided to say some thing. Normally I dont close off features when im just filling in ruts, but if its little kids just jumping off the side I dont move for them. then like 2 other kids follow right behind. So I nicely said not to hit it while I was working on it. Then there dad / race coach stops and yells "So get the fuck out of there way." I was so pissed then and was like I'm working so that's not going to happen. So as Im standing there with a shovel he's saying shit like why do you need to work on it and trying to get me to go down there with the shovel. he was just a wise ass and was looking for a fight. Then only thing I can see in his favor was that I had my normal coat on and not my work coat with the mountain logo, but if theres some one shoveling on the take-off it should be enough to tell you not to hit a feature.

i agree....but by the sounds of it those lil bastards deserved it...but mayb the shovel n the pole to the head was a bit much...some punches to the face would have done the trick...mayb it will be an example to kids like that to not do that shit nemore
 
i agree that they needed theeir asses beat but the way you did it seems alittle overboard, id feel bad about it if i was you. but someting had to be done. this stor made me laugh so hard too
 
they both knew the jump was closed, i mean everyone fucking knew it, no1 was hitting it except those two...and yea it took my 2 hours to fix cuz the jump had maybe a 25% launch...

I smell bullshit, but if it's true, you deserved to lose your pass. Skiing doesn't need assholes like you. There are better ways to deal with gapers.
 
First of all, I'd like to say that it doesn't matter if he hit them with a shovel, a fist, a ski pole or a fuckin cinder block, he got his point across. Second, and more importantly...excellent work comrade, this was a great tale, I laughed very hard and very long. Gapers (and racers even more than just your typical skiing-in-jeans gapers)piss me off, these guys knew they shouldn't have been hitting that feature when it was closed off and being worked on, they did it just because thet have expensive new race skis that mommy and daddy buy them every season, and because of that they think they own the mountain, don't have to obey any rules, follow any ettiquete of any sort, and generally be dickheads to others. Now he might've gone a tad overboard (the kicking with skiboots is harsh, I'll admit that) but for the most part I think he is justified, these guys had it coming, they deserved what they got, and maybe they'll think twice before pulling some bullshit like that in the future. Bravo.

did they even try and throw one punch back? or was it just a one way fight the whole time because i dont beleive you at all when u say they were the same age and it was a fair fight etc. etc. if for a start you shovelled them in the face, kicked them in the stomach with ski boots, (pretty much the same as punching someone with brass knuckles on) all with out them trying to do anything at all back in a 2 in 1 fight. you should have gone skitz, shouted at them. told them what they were doing wrong. told them they were being ass holes and u wer gna beat them if they did it agen. only then could ur actions be justified.

I do not believe anything you said about whacking a kid in the face with a shovel. That is downright nasty, and if I saw someone do that I would go and have a talk with him. I don't care is he's with the mountain or not. I mean seriously, at no point in your story do you even attempt to tell the kids not to ski there, not to mention they don't know what they're doing anything wrong, considering you are not a part of the ski patrol. Sounds more like someone has a little bit too much testosterone built up. Had anyone in my neck of the woods seen you pull off your little fancy hissy-fit, it would have been instant 180-to-the-face.

I dont agree with the way you kicked the shit out of the 2 kidz, even if they were just asking for it...I guess you showed them a lesson, something they parents never taught them.

There were better ways to handle yourself, trust me yelling and intimidating younger kids is the way to go. The best way to go was to get your friend to stand in front of the jump and block all circulation at all costs.

Here is a small story: I was coaching with an older guy and a good friend. We had the permittion du the center to build a small jump for our kids. We blocked it off by fencing and bamboo. A ski instructor with his kid came by and the instructor told his kid that he could jump of the jump. the other coach saw that and he told me to get on the other side of the jump. When the kid came by (illegaly) he handed me the shovel on the ground. The kid didnt stop and hit the shovel and fell before the jump. The ski instructor got super pissed and threaten to press charges. The instructor then passed rumors that we beat the shit out of the little kid or we threw the shovel at the kid. The head of the ski school fired the instructor and appologised to us.

We kept our cool and didnt kick the shit out of the intructor, no matter if he was the biggest douchbag on the hills. People who are assholes will be shit on later.

That's a pretty fucked up story, somewhat unnecessary, but when I read "as the first racer goes off the jump i smack him in the chest\face with the shovel. " I laughed very hard for a good ten minutes.
 
first id like to start off and say im new to here so some advice would be great guys!!

but anyways that seems somewhat excessive, i think a simple punches to the face wouldve done just fine but hey do whatever you want.
 
I think they got what they asked for, but maybe it was a little harsh... The blocking the landing or lip sounded like a good idea, but i know when i'm angry no good ideas come through my head.
 
uhmm, maybe a little exaggerated and maybe a little biased? But hey that always happens. Somehow picturing you smack a kid going off a jump with a shovel sounds so schnasty. Would've been a great video but could've possible killed him too.
