So I Kicked My Computer Today And....

really fucked it up...not surprisingly...my internet wasn't working and i lost my temper and i really regret doing it now...but can't go back now...anyways i was just wondering if anyone knew what i possibly could have done...after i kicked it, my wireless mouse stopped working so then i powered off my PC. it was forced tho...didn't do a proper shutdown....now when i power up, my monitor doesn't get a signal and the power light it orange when it should be green. with my PC, when it's fully on, the light is green...when it is in stand by mode, the light it orange...so that seems to be the main problem...it's not fully powering up...once again my monitor doesn't get a signal so i can't see whats on the screen..anyone know what possibly could be causing it not to boot up all the way? and take some advice from me...Don't kick your computer!!!!
 
open it up, make sure all the vga/pci cards are pushed in all the way, and make sure the processor and memory and all the IDE cables are plugged in as well. if you dont understand any of that, just open the shit up and make sure everything fully plugged in, you probably just wiggled something lose.

well, my old computer was a piece of shit(acer). ahh it sucked. so i got really mad one day and threw it on my bed extremely hard but then it bounced off my bed into the wall onto my dresser onto a lamp and then onto my pet rock.

and nothing happened to it. surprisingly.
but it didnt matter cause i got a macbook anyway :)
 
yeah just make sure everything is plugged in. nothing can go wrong besides something is unplugged
 
hahahah, i think what u need to do is turn on the monitor, my computer screen says that when the monito is off.....

lets see knocked out cpu and wires and shit. open it up, and check out the inside. make sure everything is connected.

your power supply is fucked, not much you can do about it. probably fried a couple of components too. get a new comp and don't kick it you idiot.
 
WTF. How the hell can you tell that? It could be any number of things.

Like someone above said, just make sure all cables are plugged in tight, especially the ones going into the Motherboard. Those are the ones that always get me.

I doubt his comment about McDonald's was directed towards her. Rather, it was a general statement on McDonald's and one of their products. True, in this case McDonald's needed to be mentioned by default in order to form the pun, however it is unquestionably a subpar fast food restaurant.
 
I can tell that because he gave an accurate description of a failed power supply. the computer isn't fully powering up. even if he did get the monitor to finally work, something else would stop working, perhaps his sound card or GPU or fans, etc.

I build computers. I know stuff about them.
 
yeah, then all you'll have to worry about is the fact that steve jobs is virtually raping you in your anus, that your mac is bisexual (doesn't know whether it's open or closed-source), and that macs are literally no fun at all.
