So i just saw push...

so i just cam back from the push world premier in whistler, and heres my reveiw of the film.

on the positive side, there was some serious killing it in the backcountry, and some super gnarly crashes. pollard does a few cork 5's off cliffs if i remember correctly, and theres wilsons double back off of a big cliff as well. wilson by the way, is a basket case, although his section wasnt really that great. mostly just crashing. pollard had "soul meets body" by death cab for cutie, and there was an salomon team segment filmed in asia (douglas/carlson/dumont/abma) with that "turning japanize" song, which was fun to watch. alot of typical MSP action, with of course the whistler heli-jump shoot. rory bushfeild (who by the way is now on nordica, for those of you who did not know) stomps a super sick fakie double back (as seen in the teaser), and bushfeild segments are in my mind the best in the film. simon dumont plays a major role, he has a full section of just pipe which was really well done, as well as another segment of park/bc jumps with some ILL cork 3 no grabs in the same rank as tanner hall circa session 1242. sammy carlson has really the only park section, but he kills it. alot of spinning/flipping/switching up/etc on rails, as well as some solid jump action. the first 2 minutes of this movie had many many truckdrivers, it was almost funny. definately a popular grab in this film. overall, this movie was a little bit different then the last couple msp films, something about it just seemed fresh. probably the addition of carlson, dumont, and others into this movie. so anyways, thats how i saw it, im sure about 500 people who also saw it with me are going to respond/argue with every point i made, but so be it.

thanks for the review. It's making the decision tougher, which movies I should get. so many good films coming out this year, which is of course a good thing, but it's getting expensive!

im realay wasted i cant wait f0r ppl t0 cc0me ou witnh some pollard shit he seen cause that shit is craz.y.

What the hell is Bushfiled doing on Nordica? Nothing bad against Nordica, i bought a pair for this season, but i mean, in the trailer he's all on rossignol.

Polands segment in the hit list was unreal

I have this movie ordered but it hasnt come yet. You got me so stoked on it especially dumont in the pipe and sammy in park.

im pretty sure that ivans icon is a drawing that he did of a skier...and last time i checked talib kweli doesnt ski.

i was there last as well. not my fav movie by far but some good skiing none the less. i was jsut glad there was no long boring section right in the middle like there usually is like the boat section or that ski base jumping. then i got crunked watched sweatshop union at the after party and went to buffalo bills to find some cougars

the big mountain footage was unreal, crzy shit everywhere. mcconkey had "minds eye" by wolfmother, dumont had a rap song ive never heard, the intro/bails was "take me to the hospital" by the faint, which was a RAD segment. bushfeild is on rossignol in the film, but is now on nordica. he was signing nordica posters, and he has superchargers on it. hjorleifson had the best big mountain segment in my opinion, and mckonkey dislocated his hip.

i'm just gonna hate on one thing - i'm getting bored of 360's off cliffs... i mean, yea, it's cool, but it's been done. watch absinthe films and you'll see some stright up crazy big mountain trickery.

good, but needs to be stepped up in a large way (I think it has something to do with the fact that snowboarders have more money and therefor can afford to try things more and stuff).

pollards segment was sweet though. and opening with the crash section - good stuff.

jesus i was wasted when i wrote that. yeah pollard in the hit list was good. if you like that get on the helly website and watch that shit

Pollard with Death Cab, honestly i dont know what to think anymore. My 2 favorite things in the world. Bad Ass

i personally think the skiing intro (not the gay little kid, community project rip intro) with the requiem for a dream song was fucking amazing. other than that... meh, but not bad. better than last year.

first off spining off natural takeoffs is alot easyer on a snow board then it is on skis, especialy in pow. I have done both, and secondly you want to start skiing true lines switch, were not all pollard and Andy Maher.
