And, I hate to do this..But it really wasn't that sick.Guns are just about the same as World at War, and the diving feature doesnt do shit.
Sorry.but I hear the Campaign is off the hook
 
it will be exactly what i expected

campaign will be unreal and super fun and multiplayer will be meh, only cool because there're new features
 
I don't know if it is because they are trying to make it harder or something, but it seems a lot more like "bullshit" kills if you know what I mean..where, You totally are hitting a dude in the head everyshot, with a full clip, but they shoot you twice and kill you.
BUT, I played the 20 gun wager game.DAMN FUN, made it to gun 16 and the winner had just reached 20.if you get stabbed, you drop a level.its pimp.
 
I'm still gonna buy it, already put a pre-order on it. Just need my godamn xbox back from MS, stupid red ring..

fuck. thats one of the things i dont like about mw2 compared to cod4. it made it so assholes could just sit with an rpd and spray and kill people by hitting them with 2 bullets
 
yeah, the game started to cater to the casual gamer as soon as it went to console...

bullshit kills are nothing new CoD4 paved the way for this...you just got to deal with it...they want anyone to be able to pick up the game and play it.

Back in the PC days for the first call of duty...man that legitimately took skill to use some of those guns the recoil was intense.
 
cod4 was better than mw2 in terms of bullshit kills except the occasional glitch where you get killed by one shot from a g3. mw2 has so many long range assault rifles that people just camp and pick everyone off

also the fact that you can have a noob tube as well as a first perk that's either scavenger or one man army just kills me
 
nothing frustrates me more than hearing people talk about gungame likes its a new thing. counter strike has had all that shit and gets no credit for it

oh cod4 was definitely better than MW2 in terms of that....I was just meaning as a market perspective...I mean call of duty was big but it wasn't HUGE....then CoD4 came on the market and blew up for Activision/IW

Thus making it a must have game for even the most casual of gamers....so in order to make those sales better, what do you do? you dumb down the game so that my 6th grade sister can pick up a controller and go 6 - 14 on rundown.

Mmmm cs... Easily the best game ever. I refuse to pay for cod. CSS has so many people who still play and create new maps all the time. There's really nothing better.
 
scavenger doesn't refill claymores anymore. same with noob tubes, no one man army or danger close and scavenger doesn't refill them. plus flack jacket makes you practically immune to explosions.

how and where did you play black ops? i like how children on forums all over the intraweb have been claiming that they've played it. the only people that have played multiplayer are those testing beta. treyarch doesnt have servers open for the public yet. troll harder newfag
 
anyone caught trying to crack thhe server will have an indefinite suspended account. they are really trying to keep everything fair. plus all the beta testerss had to make new accounts which will be closed opening day. so no one anywhere get a head start on the leaderboard
 
actually thats all wrong.

anyone who has a legit copy can play online and they won't get banned, servers went up on friday. they can't ban you for playing a game you bought, its the stores fault for selling it.

Still is one of the most competitive shooters, doesnt look bad, great communities, best servers, most balanced.

The engine is opened to everyone, so there are always new skins, maps, and games coming out.

Youve got, surf mod, Rpg Mod, Gungame, wc3 mods, superhero mods.

Its the best, and will always be the best.
 
I will be buying this game not because I think it will be God's gift to gaming but because I don't own a shooting game yet and want to play it. plus the gun game and other modes that haven't been in COD games yet. If anyone can give me a better suggestion to a shooting game with multiplayer I would greatly appreciate it. My buddy who is big into FPS' told me to wait and read some reviews because he thinks it will be a letdown of a game.
I just hope it's not as fast/so much going on like in MW2. I play that and get so overwhelmed with shit flying in the air and keeping track of people on the ground. Hopes its like CoD4 but with a few upgrades.

I'm also buying Black Ops. It should be better than MW 1 and 2, just because it doesn't blow your mind like MW did doesn't mean it won't be sick.
 
i looooved tha single player, havent tried online yet though. anybody figure out mp with bots? or is that only online?
 
I am playing black ops with my homie who gets it somehow through south america, the campaign is sick and the nazi zombies are fun, its all basically world at war on steroids. gameplay is super fun, feels more like a hollywood movie than real life.

but really counter strike is for the computer and there just arnt as many comp. gamers as there used to be its a new thing call consoles like xbox and ps3 im sure counterstrike is a great game for people who have the ram and graphics cards for computer games

I don't think it will be better than CoD4...CoD4 revolutionized and refreshed the franchise...they are still feeding off its success...

Ok is this just me but if they have killstreaks in the game does anyone miss CoD4 with UAV, Airstrike, Helicopter and that was it...I mean it was a sweet thing to go on the 7 kill streak and personally thats as far as it shouldve gone.

but again...a case of catering to the casual gamer.

 
Did anyone play the zombie and/or rifles only mods in cod2 PC? They were the fucking best. I wish they would make game types like that again.
 
you cant expect them to go back to the way cod 4 was and before that. they wouldnt make shit out of it.they got to constantly make it different and that means keeping stuff the same and simply adding more. one thing treyarch does that i like is they listen to peoples perspective. like for instance they now have shotguns back to being a primary gun. also they make the guns not shoot exacltly straight like MW2. treyarch is better then bullshit infinity ward
 
its amazing that in this thread the bitchery has been kept to a minumum. if CS players are all like this i might have to get it, but then again the enjoyment i get from yelling at 12 year olds and pooping on their egos is too much.

Anyways my thoughs on black ops: it looks like treyarch made a serious step to correcting all of mw2's mistakes, but there was too many to be 100% perfect. it"ll do until the next great thing comes out, idk what that will be (new Unreal anyone?)

Its going to be a fun games with a high replay value (prestiging and what not) and some of the features theyve added will ass alot to the game, like contracts and wager matches. some new game types in regular games would have been nice, but they did a pretty good job there too.

Graphics wise i heard its stunning, but from what ive seen on youtube it looks rather cartoony. not tsure if this is the computer-youtube quiality, cap card quiality, orif the textures really are lamish, could someone clarify.

my final peice is to the kid who said he just got a nuke with the pro pipe. No you didnt. you got a fucking retarded game ender that stops the game. you camped for it, guarenteed. i dont care what you say, it wasnt enjoyable getting it. go away.

sory for the dub post but if anyone has a CD writter (or somthing like that) you can google black ops torrent xbox 360, download the game, burn it to a cd and play it on xbox. tell me if that works. kthanxbi
 
Am I the only one that really thinks Cod 1 and 2 for PC were the best Cod games ever made? As far as reality, skill, and modding goes those two games fucking owned the newer Cods

but the new nazi zombies loooks like so much fun, its like the old one + some new stuff and you can choose to be JFK, richard nixon, Fidel castro or some other guyalso i think the currency system is going to be cool if it doesnt end up being a pain in the ass
