So i got written up the other day..

i live on campus at my university. i brought in a table on the first day of school. apparently you aren't allowed to. the other day, they put a 24 hour notice on the door for a room inspection. my roommate walked into the room at like 1230pm and told me. the beer pong table was still out with 20 cups drained of beer. there was an extra 30 underneath the desk, straight away from the door.

anyways, at like 2, we get a knock on the door. holy shit, we freeze. the RAs open the door and are just kinda shocked at the table being there. i kinda smile and am just like...fuck. anyways, they end up seeing the 30 and confiscate that as well. so we get written up for alcohol/table and they leave.

two days ago my suitemates get an email saying how they need to meet with the hall director (they had 240 empties we were planning on recycling and 11 full cans confiscated). rob just got out of his meeting and he has a written warning, has to take an alcohol class for $75 (mandatory we pay), go to 3 UConn events, and write a 3-5 page paper. and something gets sent home, so he probably won't get to live with me in this other kid in some apartment next year (parents are strict like that i dunno).

now i feel bad because i think my roommate is mad at me for leaving my table out. he usually goes home every weekend and i usually get a noise violation every night (informal, not really in a record). i mean like every night i get drunk and they come to the door and tell me to be quiet. i'm not worried at all because my mom is real chill and i'm doing super well in school.

so heres the deal. am i entirely at fault for what happened (one of our mutual friends left the 30 behind a trash can which my roommate moved before the RAs came)? i feel like even if i cleaned up the table, that rack would've been in sight and we would get the same consequence (we would get the consequence even if it was 10 beers).

the hall director already told my suitemate she doesn't think he's to blame because i'm always "in trouble". honestly i don't care what happens to me, but i wanna try to talk my roommate out of the trouble we're

in.

thanks guys for reading. if you didn't read it, don't respond.

didn't read that.
just kidding. just talk to him and apologize for the whole thing, and tell him you'll make it up to him and take all the blame and whatnot, even to his parents.

You would be doing the right thing by talking your roommate out of trouble. Sucks you got written up man... good luck with that.

well my friend got written up last year and said he just had to write a paper. i told him i'd take the blame because aside from the $75 fine i honestly don't care. however i don't know if i can get him out of it. he seems straight with it now, but still it does suck.

however, i wanna know if we're both responsible, or i'm at complete fault. or at least your guys opinions.

i wouldnt say your completely at fault, but i would still feel bad about what happened, and you should still try to get an apartment with teh kid, hes in college, why would his mom hold him back

when uconn went to the bowl game in like north carolina he got arrested for like half a gram of weed or something so he has to take drug classes. now he has to take alcohol classes. his parents will probably think that me and this other kid are bad influences (next year i'm lvign with both my suitemates and my roommate is living somewhere else). i guess i could be a bad influence, but i study a lot and i have a 3.75 so i'm not sure why he just doesn't say that. but he said he doesn't know.

anyone at uconn wanna possibly room at carriage? ahah

thats the only good thing about living in england, we can drink as much fuckin beer as we want, when we want, and dont have to worry about the consequences haha

why are you drinking in your dorm??? find someone with an apartment off campus and party with them. Thats what I did until i moved outta the dorms

we usually pregame in my room, then go out. i get noise complaints before quiet hours even start. what the fuck is that. the other day, i got one at 9am on saturday morning. someone actually complained because i turned on music when i was drunk. i mean, yea it was a dick thing to do, but just fucking knock on the door and either knock me out or just tell me to turn it off. don't be a fucking bitch about it.

with the reputation we used to have, and probably the fact that some girl was hit by a drunk driver last year, probably doesn't help. plus spring weekend is fucking insane. thousands of drunk kids running around...i guess we're not putting a keg in our suite. hahahaha

My brother and his room mates have a hamster maze thing made out of beer boxes for their cat. It's got two levels lol, but the cat never goes inside it.
