So I got Arrested...

Yah, and I had my court date a few hours ago. My punishment is pretty much a slap on the wrists but I want to avoid a second offense that could lead to me getting put in the back of a cop car again. And I started thinking, "Shit, what about urban rails and getting busted for trespassing and destruction of property." I can get really fucked over now if I even get caught hitting urban and getting my name taken. I have used another name when I got busted once but It was extremely sketchy because they log your name into there computer to see if your the real deal. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar type senario to deal with.

Also people who have been busted in the burlington, VT area for sliding grindbars, how were the cops to you? thanks for any help guys.

next time you get caught by the cops, take off your ski and slice of his head. you are just gonna have to get permission to hit urbans from now on

but seriously, violence is wrong children

i would say if you are on probation...dont do urbans....if your not then you can always pull the, o i didnt know that wasnt ok, im sorry it wont happen again.

everytime you get caught on urban, say your name is Harper Nelson and you live in Cape Elizabeth Maine, it will work every time

arrested! dude bummer. I haven't had too much trouble with cops around here. Usually, if you're really polite and apoligetic, its "Yeah, I'd love to let you guys do this but I gotta kick ya out" and then "yeah we understand, liability we wont come around here anymore (fingers crossed)" I've had cops ask me my name but never take it down, and I've never gotten in any kind of trouble, or even a warning. some cops can be dicks though, but its not up to them to press charges.

yo mski i've been a 12 month probation from a criminal trespassing charge and i've gotten caught hitting handrails and nothing bad has happened...just be sure that there's no "no trespassing" signs around and you're pretty much set. all they'll really do if that's the case is just tell you to leave.

LJ is pretty on point as well.

yeah i know a lot of kids who have and usually uyou just get told to move along by burlington cops. but uhh i looked up class d, haha its pretty obvious what it is anyways.

did you get put on diversion? i got arrested in senior year of hs and i had to do 20 hours of community service and take 8 counseling classes. then after six months it gets taken off your record. so you should look into that because then you wont have to worry about hitting urbans and getting in trouble as long as you do all that shit.

just hit the rails thats what i did when i was unsupervised probation the cops really dont care that much as long as its not underage drinking or possesion

oh thats pretty shitty, next time that happens you should just run. i like the idea of taking your ski off and slicing the cops head off. made me laugh

nope, my friend in the front was for me. The cops just thought we looked sketchy...I mean a beat up oldsmobile, duh....pulled us over. My two friends were moving around a bunch and then my friend said they could search his car, obviously knowing there was shit in it. I had to own up after a while because they tryed to tag it on my friend who was rolling it. and hes on probation already so it wouldnt have been such a good deal for him to get caught.

damn son that sucks hard.... Move to Maine shits decriminalized and you can have up to 1.2oz for personal use before it becomes criminal. True story

i didnt know you took it for some kid and helped him out...thats nice. really. super loyal haha

good luck tho matthew!! youll have fun at the library tho i know you will.

exactly....seriously though it's just a civil violation and you pay a fine (roughly $200), basically a speeding ticket. I couldn't make this shit up if I wanted to.

ive gotten my name taken for tresspassing and stuff abunch but i guess since im under 16 they cant really arrest me but ive been in the back of a cop car and in the police station

dude, I feel you. I got hit with a drive by shooting charge for airsoft guns, had to do a whole bunch of shit, and got probation for a year. then like eight months later I got an MIP charge, and I'm on uber probation, so that basically if anything happens from now on, I face some serious prison time. Urban is definetly a concern, but I would worry about other thing first and when the time comes to hit the steets, just take some extra precautions.

well if your rely dying to hit some...try to get permission but tell the people you will pay and work for any damage done

you realize that in Ann Arbor, MI, possession is a $25 ticket, right? and in AK, you can have up to 3 oz. in your home for personal use. state and local laws can be different than federal laws, ya know.

ya but it's only a civil violation, doesn't really affect much at all and I believe only stays on the record for 2 years, in Maine anyway. It's not the sort of offense you have to tell employers about, or would even come up if they checked. It's on the same level as a speeding ticket. Maine rocks. end of story.

i'm in the same boat. last winter i got caught stealing vodka from safeway and ended up getting sentenced 30 days in jail. this was my first offense and it was for a petty theft. i only ended spending 8 days in jail, but now if i fuck up again in the next 3 years, THREE YEARS, i go back to jail for a longer time.

Since '99, the cops have become tired of people busting up rails in Burlington. When I started going to UVM in '99, cops would tell you to stop doing what you were doing and go home. It's since manifested into no warnings, just a $100 trespassing fine for the first offense.

Non-UVM cops (i.e. real cops), will give you a ticket and a court date in Burlington. They're not cool about it because of the number of complaints they've received over the years.

at the underground rail at uvm. i didnt do it but i filmed a couple years ago. before we got there ther were some boarders hitting it and they talked t ous about how the cops came up to the m and asked what they were doing. the boarders said they were sliding it but not doing any damage. the cops were like, okay whatever, and then left. then the snowplow ppl came and got mad at them for being in the way even though they werent. but they hit it anyway. long story short, the cops didnt care

I was skating at one of the most well known spots in my town and two days before we got kicked out and the cop was just like "you guys cant be here" and he left. This time when the cop came he got out of the car and was like "you guys got $100 for bond?!?". then he tells us how the owner is sick of people skateboarding and he going to arrest us. So we have to sit on the curb well he enters our names into the computer. Luckily, he was good friends with one of my friends dad so he said he let us off this time. but now if i get caught skating anywhere else in my town i get instantly arrested.

accept thats a really bad idea, any violation of parole is just not smart. i went to court today for possession of a class d substance too(also in Massachusetts) and since it was a few months ago i will still 16(a minor)so i didn't even get parole, but if i even get in trouble within the next year, they will not even send a letter to my house, they will just get a warrant for my arrest and bring me to the court house and post a bail.

shits lame, eh?
