Snowboard Urban.

this is how it went down, Highland Productions (a film crew from ottawa) took a 5 hour trip to reach my pad to urban my area. (why? cuz there are some quite intense advanced urbans here, check nomensteven*$'s pics) So after talking to the producer of highland, we meet up and got snow (with bins in 2 cars, and it worked) and then everyones setting up the drop in and getting there gear on.

As were unloaded from the cars, i see a snowboard, and think, hmm maybe this is for like follow cam filming, i had no idea. But it was actually one of the ridders. I personally thought no way. Ive never seen a snowboard urban (besides movies etc) and i must say, we have it easy. They really need like 2ce the speed, because they dont have poles to push off of dropping in. Anyways it was pretty dank, and i think its cool Highland rides with a boarder. (who is totally cool about skiers and full respect to how they ride)

SO yeah, thats about it i think.. my final comment will be, highland is sick.

sick rails. and yeah urbans on boards cant be that easy. if i witnessed it, i would be pumped
 
not gonna lie i would never even get close to greasing that shit. like 40 ft with the dfd and gaps and round, id die.

that rail is so big! its almost like the one near a kfc cept its just down (its like 65 stairs)
 
Dude you cannot say we have it easy because have you hit an urban on a snowboard and skis then compare? Snowboarders can say the same thing about skiers on urbans and that the snowboarders have it easy but whatever. That's sick you got to help out with that shit.
 
Good to see some intregration. I would like to see a full on production company throw down a very well balanced movie with skiiers and snowboarders hitting the same stuff.
 
ryan and I stopped by that rail today, I dont think its possible for anyone to clear that rail without heading to the hospital
 
anyone here seen the movie "Who is more or less" because it's full of snowboarders hitting up urbans and for them the speed might be harder but they just get pulled by their friends. once they get on the rail they can mix it up so much compared to skiiers. they can put a rail under basically any surface under their board.
 
Sweet, it probably wasn't gayed up with switch ups and 990s on/810s off since snowboarders were hitting it.
 
it would take a soild 20 trys, but it looks like a lower risk rail so you can fly to the sides with out dieing. But yea snowboarders kick ass, skiers suck
 
probably from launching off that second kink...

i went and saw it again and the speed you would have coming down that first down would be insane. definate air off the second kink
 
BTW those pics do not do the rail justice...the thing is massive/scary huge

props to anyone who balls up to try it
 
I dont want to hear one of your punks talking about "yeah i wanna hit that..." Did you look at the pics??? The speed would be so crazy that you would air off of the second kink and die. Long double kinks like that are harder than a slower multikink that you can control speed on. I am guessing that each down has 30+ stairs, not to mention the flat/gap before the second down. Not a fucking chance...
 
To get a better view, click on the first pic and blow it up, then tell me you would hit it.
 
yeah, the skiers (2/3 hit it) cuz one was injured, and the 2 both made it to the end, but never got it clean. mark gapped (from teh flat) halfway down the last down (thats how fask you get cooking) and rolled his face into the ground, slid off his elbow and rolled head over heels for 15 feet.
 
the only way snowboarders have it easier is the fact that they can pop higher to get onto the rail, oh, and they cant get nutted unless something serious goes wrong
