So I did my first urban 20 minutes ago.

so basically this is what happened. I went with my friend and we setup a ramp out of powder which was really sketch. after 20 minutes of packing down snow we started. I went and i jumped the set about 5 times, then my friend ( who is a snowboarder) was like "watch this" then he 50 50d it first try. After this i decided to try it and i liek gapped the whole set and tapped this end. So i was all like " i am going to do it this time". I went up and landed it 3rd try it was only a 12 set but it still is the best feeling ever when you land your first handrail. thats all i had to say. ( yeah it was kind of pointless)

Cheers.

Where i live is flat. I have no where to ski powder other than boler mountain, which is really more of a hill and the longest run takes like 20 seconds to get down.

ok then. I'm just saying I'm sure there's at least 50 other very active members who learned a new trick today or did something for the first time that don't feel they need to create a thread in celebration

Ok, i'm sorry i'll rephrase so that you don't flip a bitch: fuck my town for having less then an inch of snow at the moment. Let's just remember that i live on the east coast too, i'm not coming from the west coast and calling this winter shitty.

success...props.

I built a jump at an elementary school hill on their field the other day and it was right in front of their windows but a ways back but the little tikes could still see me building it and then I packed it down and spent an hour building it and pack it down....and I took my first hit trying to look like a G and I landed on my head and racked my wrist so hard that I was done for the day.

so congrats man...i'm writing this with a cast on my wrist.

speaking of which, i did my first real rail today, but that is definitely not thread-worthy. i feel pretty gay just posting this in this thread. believe me, i'm not asking for props.
