plus another 800 a month because i have a kicker bill because i scored high on my asvab

20,000 dolllar sign on bonus.
mad promotions because i was in the infantry, infantry promotes fast.
then i gotta go see first hand what was happening over in the sand box i was put on patrols every day in gun trucks

 
Matt is no longer in the military been out for awhile think after his 3rd deployment he was able to get out so he got out.

im not going to open up a investigation when im in a middle of a promotion, mos change hopefully getting a ranger slot im trying to move forward so i can get my o2 after i graduate and end up back in the active duty
 
Man you should stfu. This guy put his life out there on the line for the saftey of our country. Now i dont support the war or war in general for that matter but you should appreciate that he's out there doing that and your not. Its people like him that make it so our country doesnt have to have a draft. I personally would never fight in the army because i am a hippie liberal that hates war and fighting but to say you dont support the people fighting for us is just wrong and ungrateful.
 
i actually very much agree. the armed services are hugely important, and completely unappreciated by our age group. however, he is a terrible representation of what our military should. i respect and appreciate his service completely, however i think he disgraces the uniform.

just enjoy the time with your family because time is more valuable than money, you can always get more money, but you can never get more time.
 
guy your all over the place in this thread. first its death before dishonor there my family we take matters into our own hands and then its im getting a promotion, If theres problems at a show I only watch and don't get involved, and your giving out your friends names who are also involved with courage crew or whatever. if you were apart of anything real you would have already gotten the shit kicked out of you and be a disgrace to your so called gang. Im sure your not a bad guy, maybe closed minded, but grow up if your working two jobs, going to school and raising a family get off these forums full of people younger than you for the most part. Yeah i understand that the war isnt a justifiable one but if he;s out there fighting for us its better him than you right? so you should at least be grateful that there are people out there willing to sign up. I support the troops not the war or the reasons. If that makes sense.
 
Whatever the reason for the invasion it was well worth it and I support it 10,000% I would go back 5 or 6 more times if I have to with no bitching. If you would know how happy the Iraqi's are to see us on the ground over in Iraq. I was in a pretty gnarly area of Iraq I loss buddies my gun trucks were blown up several times by a few Ied's few un-maned rpg's etc. Hearing stories from the Iraqi people about how horrible saddam makes it very well worth my time If my life was taken at least it would of happen doing something that I support.

Saddam and his sons effected every family in Iraq some how
He used Chemical Weapons on the kurds killed lots of people
I guess its also cool to find mass grave full of women and children.
You know if you were a Iraqi and did not have a picture displayed in your house Saddam would kill you.

Have you seen the torture videos of what saddam and his sons did to people? Did you see he use to tie the Iraqi's up and throw them off the buildings just high enough so it wouldn't kill them just hurt them really bad.

Also a lot of the attacks over in Iraq are happening by none Iraqi people its people from other countries.

If you knew how evil saddam and his sons were then maybe it would change your mind put some boots on and go walk the streets of Iraq learn something other then what the news will tell you.

You sit here and call me a horrible person for getting into a little fight every now and then but you won't even support a effort to help the Iraqi people be free and not live in total fear.

Its not like we are over in Iraq being trigger happy shooting person that looks like a threat towards us, we actually follow the geneva convention to the T.

For example if I was doing a foot patrol seen a kid with a ak if he didn't raise his gun at me and shoot at me then I can't do shit. "Only fire when fired upon"

I don't see why you don't support the war its kind of hypocritical of you to say that in my eyes, lots of Soldiers I know joined so they can experience a combat situation. If you don't support the war you don't support the soldiers, marines airmen sailors in my eyes a lot of other servicemen eyes.

Anyways that is my 2 cents on the entire war I know NONE of you will agree once again which is fine I'm entitled to my own opinion I seen first hand what Iraq is all about its not all about putting some 5.56 downrange and killing people.

So much good is actually happening over in that country wish you all could see and experience a little of what is really happening.

he said he never ganged up on anyone and rarely fights. You wouldnt punch a guy if he spilled beer all over you at a show and was an asshole about it? what if a guy blew smoke in ur face you asked him to stop and he did it again? its not like he goes around looking for fights. He asks to stop or move and uses fighting as a last resort. Yeah maybe the rest of his crew are a bunch of fucked up people but you should take into account that he is in the military and they due teach duty, honor, and respect. No matter how much you think he is fucked in the head, being in iraq and going through boot probably makes his judgement better than anyone on this site.

And for the kid trying to get him discharged, how would you react if you figured out ur dad got fired from his job because of some bullshit rumor that was over exagerated. Thats childish and pathetic. ANd everyone bashing him for doing something messed up you act like your all fucking angels which is fucking bullshit reading some threads on this site. The way I see it, you're well on your way to accomplishing that already. What kind of values do you think you're instilling in your kids with this? If someone doesn't have the same beliefs and behaviors as you you beat the shit out of them? Oh right, you only beat the shit out of people if they accidently run into you at a concert in the middle of a mosh pit and spill beer on you or if the wind blows the smoke from their cigarette into your personal space. You're right, you're completely justified there.

You say that you're doing this for the good of your family, so they don't have to live in a world with weed and drugs and alcohol addictions. Know what a better way of going about that is? Be a good parent, and raise your kids well so they don't choose to be drug addicts or alcoholics if it's that important to you. If you were at all a decent father you'd realize that exposing your kids to such a violent and hateful attitude and teaching them those same habits through your example is 100 times more destructive than living on the same street as a couple of stoners. I feel extremely sorry for your kids.
