So how many people are still skiing?

Wow, i didnt think that there was this many people still skiing now. It sucks for me knowing that there is others out there still skiing when i havnt skiied since march 20

Mammoth daily.
They just added new jump up on spring park, main is still pretty prime.
15 jumps total on the mountain right now i think, 17 jibs

Mammoth gets pounded by snow. Whereas on the east coast, 2 feet of fresh is awesome for one night, Mammoth (and tahoe) are accustomed to being pounded by two feet in two hours. when 10 feet of snow falls in a single weekend, we call it epic. When two feet falls in one night, it's a good day.

As for mammoth- the peak is at over 11,000 feet, so it's way up high- and the crew moves the park up higher for the summer. with a massive base built up from the winter, it lasts for a long, long time.

Basically. Mammoth is a very odd place though. You will be cruising down 395 and the peaks along the road don't have a whole lot of snow on them, but Mammoth is fucking loaded. It's really odd.

Mammoth receives so much more snow than the rest of the state though because storms hit Mammoth and instead of passing over and moving east, they circle back out to the Pacific, pick up more moisture, and hit Mammoth again. The snow there is fairly light too because of the high elevation.

My home mountain gets just as much snow annually as mammoth, (and seriously, there is still a ton of snow on the moutnain) but they think they will lose money so they close the first weekend in may. HOWEVER, due to record-breaking ticket sales there are rumors about staying open through June next year...

if summer set ups could i still am

i'm goin this aftanoon a do a vid sesh ova @ my buds set up, it's gonna b dope

Sunday is my last day of lift accessed skiing. Then hiking front range hills for some June and Maybe July turns once i get the stitches out of my head.

Tomorrow will be my last day at the Basin. Trying to get a weekend in this month in Utah and a week in July at Hood :)

Alpine Meadows? If not, Alpine has about the same problem as your hill. I was there last weekend and snow cover was better than at any point in the season 2 years ago
