so like i said, everyone on here is mean! I posted a thread, asking for help, and almost no one replyed. so far i thnk skiers sound prety rude, like rebbles, i know when i was a snowboarder ppl were usually pretty nice, so i'll give u one more chance, what skiz would be perfect for my first pair, and how easy is it to ski backwards, and also, is skiing anything like snowboarding?

just joking id get some ar5's just cause there pretty good all around but it depends on what you wanna do and how good you are.

 
i havent ever skiied, my moms gunna buy me what ever i want, so i want the best! i want the new stuff to make me good. what about ski blades?

 
seriously, cant u just tell me what skis are the "cool" skis right now? what are some popular companies, what movies should i buy?

you could always go with a big company like salomon or k2 or go with others like Line, 4frnt, or Armada. If you havent skied before just choose on the graphics you like best

 
You have it right in saying most people here are assholes. Personally, I wouldn't recommend a park ski for your first pair just because it'll take you a while to get used to skiing forward, so I woulnd't worry about being able to ski switch right away. I'm not really up to date on skis right now so I can't really recommend any, maybe try asking someone at a ski shop who won't respond to you like people will on this site.

 
You can't be serious, right? It doesn't matter what skis are "cool" when you are just starting out. You need something soft, short and easy to turn. Once you get better (in a year or two if you go a lot) you're going to need better skis. Look for a deal: get a twin-tip mid-fat on sale. And make sure your boots aren't too stiff and fit correctly. Boots are the most important. . .

If you're not an alias(most likley of sketchline cause this seems like somthing he would do) I would say K2 fujatives or Line Invaders if money is tight and if your fucking loaded go for some K2 public enemy's or some Chronics or Armada's of any kind. Then if you plan on skiing switch a lot get them mounted like 3-5 cms forward. If you wanna ski pow a lot get some line prophet 130s! too bad their like 1000 dollars
