Alright so yesterday my friends and I spent all afternoon building a summer setup (jump, rails, fixing an old drop in ramp). We set it up at the edge of the cemetary, where there aren't an tombstones or anything, becuse it is right next to my friend Kolby's house. We played around on it for like half an hour last night. This morning we woke up and were gonna go session and film it and make our edits for the salomon contest, and Reed, the guy who runs the cemetary, had destroyed it. He bulldozed it into little pieces, and tossed it over the fence into a pile of broken wood, ripped up astro turf, and bits of pvc. I was just really upset, so I thought I'd share the story. :/

Ok, so, here's the first thing Gus: ask the dude next time. He's a dick, so he might say no, but hell, it's worth a shot if you're nice about it. Write him a letter or something. Old people love that shit.

Second thing: go talk to the police about it and see what they say. I will never understand the unwillingness of you kids to make use of the law.

you're talking about a case where a structure was erected on possibly private land. just recently in toronto, the city came in and tore down the vas majority of trail stunts in the Don Valley (popular mtb trail system) and that was public land. i see this case being no different especially if the cemetary is private land.

it sucks that it happened but that is unfortunately how it goes sometimes.
 
Agreed.... Now if you talked to the guy prior and he still did after he said it was okay, than hes a fucking douche. But if not put your self in his situation, just imagine you wake up go outside to see a bunch of wood astro turf and pvc piping laying around killing your grass that you didn't put there. I would knock it down in heartbeat.
 
I agree, it sucks a lot that that happened but what can ya do? Id actually be pissed but you should have moved it into your buddies yard for the night.

Yeah I mean it probably wasn't the smartest place to put it... But we didn't put it where there were graves or tombstones or anything. It was off to the side by the fence, outta the way. And my friends house is practically touching where it was, so him leaving it wouldn't have been too hard. The cemetary is public land too. I dunno I was just mad, it was kinda expensive to build, and it took all afternoon. He could've just moved it without destroying it. I guess the only ting being built in the cemetary now is his grave, I kill bitches for less. haha

About the setup that really does suck. Go make him pay for it or something. Kind of weird though putting it in a graveyard anyway. Something bad might happen. You might just get bad karma.
 
dont be a little bitch and just complain about somone as good as Gus entering the contest. Just use that as motivation and try to make yours better.
 
What an asshole. Even if you shouldn't have put your jib in his cemetary he could have asked you nicely to move. Sounds like he was just trying to get back at you by crushing it. Slash the tires on his bulldozer.

you are going to make some more right? the contest end in a month so you still have a while to make some more and get an edit out of it. you cant just let one asshole get you down, you could put popcorn in the bulldozers engine. that would be silly.
 
It was me. I just told him what did he expect he put his shit on his land. And then i called him stupid and to use his head.

NS just loves Gus so much that no one can be blunt and honest.

What i was going to say was bummer man. Its happened to me before with a drop ramp I buit with Lauren. We bought all this wood from Home depot, stashed it to come back after skiing for the day to hit ths sick ass urban and the condo manager had smashed it up and was on his wood pile. What you need is a setup like ours

It was'nt the cemetery guy, it was me. I was sabotaging your edit so that I might win. You probably shouldnt even try again, as the same thing will happen, wherever you place it.
 
Do you need a shoulder to cry on? 'Cause I wasn't looking for anyone to comfort me, I just thought it was a dick move of the cemetery guy, and I thought everyone would agree it was lame.
