Yup. He's starting to become less transparent and it's a little scary. I really don't like these czars that are being created.

But I will say. I'm going to wait some time until I pass final judgment for myself. Right now I'm just not as stoked as I used to be about him being president, but I'll still give him time to make decisions. I hope everything he's doing will work out.

(sigh) his spending will accumulate to much greater numbers than just a trillion. not to mention our federal budget was already around 3T....but yes it would seem as though the private creating sector would be shrinking while our president wants to expand the wasteful public sector...

in other news, my mother said that he wants to raise taxes to 53% so you get less than half of what you make...dont know if thats true or not because i havent looked into it and sometimes my mom hears voices...
 
to elaborate, i think he's spending money on what powerful people ask him to. the money will go through their companies and they will pocket some. Obama is not doing much to stop this, but i doubt he creates much by himself. The govt is run by many like minded people.

Well, I didn't buy into Obama's campaign in the first place. I only voted for one republican (the rest were reps who were like dem or non-partisan shit) and that was Mccain. I didn't think he was a good choice either, but his approach was at least seemingly far more fiscally tight, especially since within half a year, over a trillion in additional spending has been put forth, hasn't worked the way they intended (nice contradiction between biden and obama on this front), and with more trillions in proposed spending, amongst a host of other shit. Ultimately, I'm not stoked in the slightest, but he has a couple more years to do some shit. If things he does turn out well, cool, but I'm leary on a lot of this stuff, since it's big ass government and big ass spending; it doesn't matter if he has been prez for fucking 6 months.

One of my biggest problems with Obama is that he keeps on giving people on welfare more and more money when they don't work and just have kids to collect on welfare money. He is a pussy when it comes international affairs. I'm sorry to offend any liberal obama supporter on here but you have to stop listening to left wing media it's dragging or country down. Obama is all talk! He isn't and never will be ready to be president. Liberals also have to stop helping illegal alliens. They'll are stealing jobs and killing our economy! The far left needs to get on board and focus on the AMERICAN PEOPLE!! Left wing nuts like obama, franken, and palosi are killing this nation. Obama supporters it's time to live up to the facts! Because the poster you are replying too obviously stated he loved bush. Just because someone dislikes Obama does not mean they did not despise GWB. Ask most true conservatives and they will tell you that Dubya was NOT a conservative. Way too much spending and entered a war of choice, not necessity.

During the election, I supported McCain/Palin (wasn't crazy about Palin though). When Obama was elected, I accepted it, and hoped for the best.

HOWEVER, I kept the McCain decal on my Jeep after the election was over, with the intentions of removing it once Obama proved to me that I could trust him. Needless to say it is still on my Jeep, but I do hope that he does something that causes me to remove it.

Another thing, OBAMA'S GUN POLICY IS COMPLETE AND TOTAL BULLSHIT, but that's just my opinion, and I respect those of others.
 
as i like to put it he was a social conservative. (anti gay marriage, abortion, etc) but an economic moron. lower taxes and increase spending, always a good combo :)

i think he just took that money grows on trees statement a little too seriously.
 
I'm gonna be brutally honest, you're dad probably would've lost his job regardless of the outcome of the election. Do you honestly think the economy would be back on its feet already if McCain were elected? Chances are we'd be in the exact same position we're in now, only democrats would STILL be blaming republicans for all things wrong in america
 
I think Obama is too concerned with pleasing everyone, and because of this is working too hard to try to balance everyone's completely opposing desires instead of worrying more about getting things done. As the president of the United States, he will have to upset some people. He knows how to weigh opposing arguments and then make an educated decision, but he has to remember how to do this even in the face of extreme pressure. Once he stops caring about keeping everybody happy and realizes that he will never be able to do that, I believe that he'll do amazing things for this country. Let's not forget that he has the most difficult job in the world. Give the man some time. We didn't vote for him for nothing.

in fact if mccain had won we might be even worse off not because he would be a bad president or anything but because the legislative branch would still have probably gone to the Dems.

long story short, mccain wouldnt be able to push anything through congress and the dems wouldnt be able to get him to sign off on anything and nothing would get done and the economy would tank even more.
